We just found this in our son's hard shell taco! Looks like nose hair and a booger and some kind of string. My wife called to inform the manager about this. The person(my wife called backed to ask her name)we believe she said it was "kaysonya"who answered the phone told my wife to quit playing on the phone which clearly upset my wife. So she yelled at the lady that answered the phone. The lady asked who was she yelling at then said something smart and hung up on my wife. We will be contacting the health department. Btw I have family that works there as well. This call occurred at about 9:33 p.m. 5/28/2020. I left the drive thru around 8:50 PM. Please contact or respond to this post. Fast forward to today 9/17/25 around 11ish P.M. I haven't been here in a few years from my previous visit from 2020. Oh boy was it still terrible. 4 tacos and a cinnamon twist was impossible. Smh the lemonade no ice was the star of the show. I asked for the number 8 (dorritos tacos) supreme with a lemonade (no ice) one soft shell taco supreme and a cinnamon twist. Literally waited at least 12 minutes as the employees fumbled around with a bunch of bags talking who messed what order up and who drove off without all of their food and the bags that no one knew what were in them and who they were for. I knew then I would need to check my food when I finally got it. Sure enough I checked my food and there was no sour cream or tomatoes on all four of the tacos I ordered I was then informed that they didn't have any tomatoes but I wasn't informed that when I ordered my food and got charged for the supreme price. I did get sour cream added still no change in price and that took about 6 more minutes for that. Got home and then discovered that the "cinnamon" twists were just "twists" with no cinnamon and sugar at all. They were also old and stale. Hard like cracklins. Read moreI've been here many times over several years and I now try to avoid this particular Taco Bell. Part of the issue is the homeless situation in South Bend. I'm occasionally asked for money both inside and outside the restaurant. That happens other places, too, though. Today a couple of homeless men started shouting at each other and I was afraid there'd be a fight inside.
The staff could use some customer service training. I've only had one person ever act friendly, and I only saw her there once. Most are sullen and don't seem to want to be there. At the drive through, one woman consistently just grunts uh-huh when thanked.
Inside, one one occasion, I was ignored while waiting to give an order. (Noone was at the counter, but they acknowledged I was there.) Finally I decided to use the kiosk. Another customer came in and after being ignored, too, he just left.
Once I picked up some food at the drive through and when I got it home I noticed an odd smell and taste. I realized on a later visit it was the same odor of their cleaning compound.
So, I do not recommend this place. The only reason I give it two stars instead of one is because I don't avoid...
Read moreThis place used to be great but the current management is running it into the ground. Every time I come in here there’s a problem. The store is a disaster zone, everything is in disarray, staff moves at a snail’s pace, there’s absolutely zero urgency, staff seems like they’re high or something. Definitely clueless, poorly trained at best. Their actions definitely don’t make any sense when compared to how this place ran when it was good. They refused to hand out a door dash in the drive through after midnight when the lobby should be closed anyway. Instead they make dashers wait through the entire line where you can’t escape because of the way the drive thru is built, and then they make you come inside to then learn they haven’t even started your order. There is no info given as to how long it will take to get the order made, just super vague communication indicating that it will eventually be made when it’s convenient for them to get to it. The only thing that was clear was that they hadn’t made the order yet. Sadly, this is my experience every time I dash here now and I’m very disappointed.
