Livid! I received a Marshall's gift card for my birthday and found some sneakers I wanted to buy today. Five minuites after realising the color in the picture did not deplict what they had left to order. I simply read it wrong and decided to cancel my order immediately. They cancelled it and I thought it was great service. They assured me through email that my gift cards were not charged. Hadn't even gone through. I was so excited to use my gift cards at tj maxx or marshalls. Then they send me a Edeals card to use as merchandise credit, which was not even the total of the amount I orginally purchace. So I thought they gave me a complimentary credit to come back because I told them how great service they were. Bought my husband some tops. Then got to thiniking that maybe this wasnt meant to be. Why would my money not be able to be returned originally on my gift cards when it had only been 5 min of purchace. I feel so dooped and if I would have known using a gift card I can use 3 other places wouldnt have been easilly given back to me my orginal form of payment. I would have never ordered from here. I am so disappointed and now am forced to buy something I didnt even want! Who knew that originally if you use a gift card and change your mind that you would have to use the credit at...
Read moreI have been shopping at Sierra Trading Post for 15 years, strictly online however because there has been no physical stores within driving distance of me. I love the concept of having an "open ailse" but the execution of it could need some work in the Burlington VT store. Absolutely horrible experience where I needed a tent for a camping trip with my girls and I asked very clearly if the tent would be at my house by the time I had to leave. I left on a Saturday and that Thursday before I called to see where in the distribution chain my tent was and to my horror the kid in the Burlington VT store took my money but never ordered the tent. The warehouse had never even heard of my order (two weeks earlier). It took considerable amount of nagging to get the customer service rep to overnight me the tent I wanted. Not once was there an apology or offer to pay for shipping. Luckily the tent arrived at 4pm Friday afternoon (16 hours before I was scheduled to leave). I'd I hadn't called my tent which I had already purchased would never have came. Very very very...
Read moreI've been shopping with Sierra Trading Post for 20 years. Online purchases will save you the most and give you the largest selection, especially if you sign up for their online email discounts. With every purchase you'll see how much you saved over the lifetime of your account. To date I have saved just shy of $8000 at an average of 62% off. Many years ago I was a fan of Outdoor Gear Exchange (OGE), but given they sell little to no used gear (just clothing) and the best sale they run is 20% off I see no reason why not support a business that sells the same stuff for a LOT LESS. Burton, Merrill, Kuhl, Mountain Hardwear, Northface, Big Agnes and so much for kayaking, SUP, fishing, hunting, camping, outdoor games, dogs, kids and on and on. No better place to find a good deal on a high quality item, heck I haven't spent more than $22 on a pair of Carhartt pants in 15 years! I love STP and I'm glad to see they're spreading the discounts to Vermonters and...
