Coastal Ale House - A Cautionary Tale of Unprofessionalism
I am writing this review to bring attention to the egregious behavior exhibited by Coastal Ale House, a supposedly reputable establishment in Conway, SC. My friends' company, Matteo's Photography, recently completed a project for the restaurant, and despite their outstanding work, the management refused to pay them in a timely manner, if at all.
The facts of the matter are as follows: Matteo's Photography was hired by Coastal Ale House to complete a series of photoshoots, including food photography and 2 holiday events. The company fulfilled their obligations in full, delivering high-quality results and meeting all deadlines. However, when it came time for Coastal Ale House to settle the invoice, they failed to do so. Despite multiple requests and follow-ups, the restaurant has yet to honor their commitment to pay for the services rendered. This is unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one that purports to value its relationships with vendors and partners.
Throughout this ordeal, Coastal Ale House's management has been unresponsive and uncooperative. When contacted about the issue, they have offered no explanation or apology for their actions. It seems that they are more concerned with saving face than honoring their contractual obligations.
I strongly advise any business considering partnering with Coastal Ale House to reconsider. Their lack of professionalism and commitment to fair business practices is a significant risk that could ultimately harm your company's reputation and financial well-being.
In conclusion, I urge Coastal Ale House to take immediate action to rectify this situation and pay Matteo's Photography in full for the work they completed. Until then, I will continue to share my disappointing experience with others to ensure that no other business falls victim to their unscrupulous behavior.
Rating: 1/5 stars (and that's being generous)
Recommendation: Avoid Coastal Ale House at all costs until they demonstrate a commitment to fair business practices and customer...

I am disappointed to share that I have had a poor experience working with Coastal Ale House over the past year. Despite completing three photoshoots for the restaurant, I have yet to receive payment for my services. Despite multiple attempts to follow up with the owner, including in-person meetings, emails, and phone calls, I have been ignored and have not received a resolution.
Unfortunately, I am left with an outstanding invoice from last year that remains unpaid. This lack of professionalism and respect for my work is unacceptable. As a locally owned business myself, I understand the importance of building strong relationships and upholding professional standards within our community. It is disheartening to see a business disregard the hard work and contributions of others, including my own company.
I would advise others to exercise caution when considering working with Coastal Ale House. It appears that the owner prioritizes his own interests over those of his collaborators and contractors. I hope that in the future, the restaurant will take a more responsible approach to managing their finances and respecting the hard work of those who contribute to their success.
As a business owner myself, I believe it is essential to prioritize integrity, accountability, and respect in all our interactions. I hope that Coastal Ale House will take these values to heart and make necessary changes to improve their...
Read moreYears ago, under different management, Coastal Ale House was a great place to dine. Sure, it's a bar atmosphere and noisy, although they do have a nice patio where that can be avoided if you don't like that type of thing. I'm local and hadn't been in awhile so took Mom for dinner last night. In the front dining area we were the only ones seated. That should have served as warning. Back in the day it was sometimes difficult to find seating. I ordered fish tacos and a margarita. Marg tasted inferior to most I've had but wasn't horrible so I went for a second. After two I should have felt a little something but....nope. I would have gotten an equal buzz off two glasses of water. I like a little heat to my food but these tacos were on fire! Tried wiping off the killer sauce but am paying today for eating them. The shrimp were tiny salad shrimp. I'm not one to raise a fuss, especially in front of my senior Mom, but I told the waitress about the heat and her response was yeah, they are spicy. The bill came and I was about to hand her my card when I saw there were two totals, one for cash and the other for card! It was either a 3-4 dollar difference. Nope, I don't play that game. I had cash, but $1 shy of what I would normally have left as tip. Oh well. Never going to be dining or drinking there again. Unless management changes again. Because I really do like the place and it's...
