I am a die-hard fan on the milkshakes from here, hands down the best, until tonight. I have been in the restaurant industry for 30 yrs in this area, so I'm very understanding about mistakes, left out food, and even bad attitudes. It was late, of course , we ordered 2 shakes, 1 pineapple-peach, 1 chocolate cherry. $10 or so. We head home. I take one sip and immediately know some things up.we taste each other just to see. They both had a sour, warm taste. The chocolate one had less of a bad taste. I get home and put a spoon in mine. Now I order the same shake every time. It's vanilla ice cream with fruit. I mean, the taste and colors are obvious. It was full of some little black stuff. , it was warm, and had a yellow cream colored tint. Clearly, the shake had been made in a dirty or Un washed mixing cup, or there was some ice cream melted in it from the previous customer. The fruit was definitely warm or even hot that was used. It is in the trash. My friend finished hers before my discovery. I mean, it happens. Someone in mgmt should do a better job at observing the employees' job performance and train people the correct way to follow protocols . Or how to wash the mixing cup better because this is the action that close fast food locations all over the place. Big fat waste o my hard earned money, really I was passed but I wasn't going back because I dam sue wouldn't want them to make another one. Do better!!! Or...
Read moreVery dissatisfied with the staff and practices of this location. I know there is a coin shortage right now. But. There is no sign or notice about change. None. we went through the drive through, our total was 14.17. we paid with a $20. We were handed back 5.50, without a word still about change. So, missing $.33 of our change. Now. I k ow it's only $.33. but on principal, they at LEAST needed to stay something . When we asked about it, the lady snapped at us that we should know there is a change shortage and we can't complain. By law, if they do not post a sign, they cannot withhold change just because"every store and gas station have it posted so we don't have to" we were told it is company policy to not give change right now due to change shortage, and also to not post signs about it. By not posting signs, and warning customers that they need exact change, or to lose whatever change they are owed, thus allowing customers to choose to or not to proceed with ordering/paying with other means, or not... And not even commenting as the payment is processed and change is due, this is breaking the law. The attitude along with this incident adding insult to injury. Cookout is a favorite fast food restaurant, and somewhere we visit often... And this experience makes us question that. Won't be going back...
Read moreI've been to this Cookout probably 10 times since it's been open. I get the same exact thing every single time. 2 quesadillas, one cheese one chicken. I've never changed it. Well today I get there and the tan skinned girl with dark curly hair and glasses told me I can't do that. So I stated okay well I've been here at least three times this week and she said oh okay. Well that's fine then. So we went to leave and she said "bye have a good day" super snarky.
Mind you this isn't the first time I've been here and the employees had the worst attitude. We came a few Sunday's ago and mind you it was busy, but one of the girls called a customers name and I saw them get up and start walking so she proceeded to yell their name again and when they didn't show up two seconds later she mumbled "jesus". So she finally paid us attention, mind you, there was probably like 16 of us. So when I asked for 2 cookout sauces and a buffalo she just looked at me with an attitude rolled her eyes and handed them to me. I didn't say anything this day but today kind of just pushed me...
