Rigsby's Smoked Burgers, Wings & Grill — Restaurant in South Carolina

I wanted to try this restaurant for awhile so I finally swung in there to grab a meal to go. I walked in and was not greeted by anyone at the door so after standing there a few minutes I see someone towards the back of dining room behind a pedestle playing music so I walked back there and told her I needed to see a menu and she looks at me and tells me she doesn't work there and looks over towards the bar, so I go over to the bar and the bartender is busy doing something else so there was a menu next to the customer a couple seats away so I reach over and grab it cause he wasnt using it then the bartender comes over and asks me what I wanted to drink and I told him I needed to get something to go and he just stood there and I asked him if I could place an order at the bar or did I need to go somewhere else and he said I could order there so I told him I needed to look at menu a minute so he walks away and gives me plenty of time to look at menu. Finally he comes back and I order the bacon cheeseburger and fries to go and I ordered a draft beer to drink while I wait. He goes and takes care of another customer then gets me my beer, it took him a min to get my beer poured and then he brings it to me with about 3 or 4 inches of foam at top, maybe there was a problem with the tap, idk, I waited about 25 min on my food listening to some kind of music bingo being played and then I left.Atmosphere was empty and couldn't tell the employees from customers. I got my food home and couldn't wait to try it but after trying it, I wasn't at all impressed. Fries were greasy, and tasteless, had to use alot of ketup to get any flavor and the bacon was hard as a rock on my burger and the hamburger patties were rubbery and had no flavor..The menu stated it came with Rigsby sauce but I never tasted any sauce or mayo or anything..Was very disappointed in the taste of the food. It was edible because I was starving but definitely not good enough to make me ever have the desire to return. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty meal...I did leave a good tip but not because I was impressed by anything, I just use to be a waitress so I...

Stopped in Rigsbys for lunch today! Ordered Two Kim’s Salad, Cesar Salad, 20 wings, hand cut fries, Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, and 2 Beef Phillys + sides all for under $100 and MAN WAS IT GOOD. I’ve been discouraged from eating out since moving down here, after so many disappointments. The Salads were huge for the price with amazing Presentation, and Good firm(not old soggy) lettuce, the Dressings were exquisite versions that I had never tasted before, felt as if they were dancing on my tongue. The Wings sauce was amazing, and wings were crisp without being overcooked, they didn’t taste like they were fried in Old French fries oil. The Sweet potato waffle fries Not only smelled amazing, but tasted even better and crisp. Now Personally I got the Beef Philly, and I normally don’t order those except for my special place because they always disappoint. But the one I got from Rigsbys today, was Phenomenal! The Steak tasted like real Quality Beef, the cheese was melted and offered great flavor in combination with the onions peppers and mushrooms with no huge chunks or overpowering flavors. The Service was Good and attentive, and understanding, our food came out fast and hot.

Side Bar I was looking for the Bathroom and Walked past their kitchen where you could see directly in. It looked CLEAN AND CARED ABOUT. All their employees were in uniform, and following sanitation guidelines. The Seating area looked up to date, clean, and Modern. Definitely felt comfortable...

Our friends said the Brisket was good so we decided to try the place out. Sat in the bar area, and there was only the bartender working the whole bar area, so it took some time to get our drinks. Ordered food, and my Burger was done perfectly med-rare, and my wife said her Philly was really good. I ordered a second beer and when the bartender came back she brought 2 drafts (my wife was drinking bottle) she said to my wife she had poured it, did she want it? I had seen the beer sitting under the taps since she poured my first beer. Thinking that the bartender accidently poured the beer and it was no cost, my wife said she would take it, even being a draft, so it wouldn't go to waste. When our bill came that mis-pour beer was on our tab all $5.00 of it. When I questioned the bartender and said I had seen that beer over under the tap since she poured my first beer, I asked wasn't that a mis-pour to which she said... well maybe, and she had a look like a kid caught telling a fib. She then said she "could' take it off our tab, which she did. I still gave her 18% tip since other than trying to get us to pay for a mistake beer she did a pretty good job of taking care of the bar patrons, especially being short staffed. (Story of 2022 hard to find reliable people) I guess the moral to my review, is be wary of people bearing gifts (beer) and clarify if its on the house or even though your weren't drinking drafts you would still be charged!!.
