Truly a horrid experience today, such a disappointment... Likely will never visit here again...
*Possibly understaffed, but EVERYONE'S time should be valued most importantly HEALTH/Food safety in non-negotiable to me, especially because I seem to catch every single sickness that goes around...
NOTES: *Walk in dining To Go order (no pre-order done) *Walked into the lobby on 11/1/2025 ETA 3:30pm. *Door and door handle were very dirty/ did not want to touch so I pulled down my sleeve and opened it that way... *Lobby was messy, many visible trash items on the floor such as food crumbs, receipts, etc.
*When I entered- 1 person was already standing at the front counter, peeking around the corner inpatiently, as if he was irritated and had been waiting for assistance for too long (just an observation as I do not know the specifics of his visit, but can only assume it was likely just as mine, inconsiderate and frankly unacceptable.) 1 person was sitting at a table near the entrance door, who I later found out had already ordered and was waiting for a small order. Four OLD drinks sat unattended on the front counter, with scannable receipts taped on them that were obviously for Door Dash pick ups or Uber driver pick ups. At least one was a large frappe, another a dark soda, and don't remember the other two. These drinks looked like they had been sitting there for hours, covered in sweat, a pool of condensation coming from each that gathered into a larger single puddle of liquid on the counter around them, whipped creams were melted, one looked half drinken, all appeared to be DD or UBER orders & also undrinkable, so I certainly hope they were meant to be thrown away instead. Drive thru line was short, but stayed busy and stayed short- as I walked in AND also as I walked out- I looked over at the drive thru and both times the last cars that were in line were at the ordering screen already. THE DRIVE THRU ONLY flowed well the entire time, quick, fast, but many incorrect and had to come back into the lobby to wait and be ignored with us... FRONT COUNTER- No employee was working the Front counter. Many employees seen assisting drive thru ONLY. Someone finally came about 10 minutes, had no name tag- wore all black & a hijab & also had zero help the whole time.
#2 COMPLAINT - The employees simply did not care about the lobby. They ONLY cared about their drive thru times!!
So... I walked in, waited a long time. The employee w/black hijab finally walked by the front counter, still not a single look or acknowledgement that anyone was even in the lobby, as we all continued to wait. And wait. And think of leaving. And wait. She went to the bathroom, stopped to ask another employee in break in lobby, eating, IF he was on break, employee replied yes and continued eating, she came straight back from bathroom TO THE REGISTER (not the sink to wash her hands. Not once did she wash her hands the whole time I was there, even after wiping her NOSE, WITH her bare hands, then spoke to customer ahead of me who was missing a simple 4pc nugget from his drive thru order, she wiped her nose, went straight to nugget box, opened it, closed it, and walked straight back to hand to him... THIS IS MY #1 COMPLAINT. The employee on break in lobby also returned while she was in the bathroom (and touched the lobby trash door and tucked his shirt into his pants, and went straight to touch some food which he bagged for a drive thru order- AGAIN WITHOUT WASHING HIS HAND ONCE). WASHING HANDS IS #1 RULE OF FOOD SERVICE IN MY BOOK. IF U DONT WASH YOUR HANDS, DONT SERVE CUSTOMERS. Not enough space for my whole story/complaints so keeping it to the top three.
#1- hand washing wasnt seen at ALL. FC person should not be taking orders, handling register, cash, food, handing out food, all without washing hands in between.    Read moreI'm absolutely fed up with the night time shenanigans & disrespect going on at this McDonald's. As a delivery driver, a customer & a previous McDonald's employee... I'm literally blown away at how often I have nightmare experiences at this location. Tonight was just another example. We order on the app using the only funds we have to our name after working all day. We pull into the drive thru at 2am and immediately get told the drive thru is down & we will have to come into the lobby to get our mobile order... So we park & go in to find multiple upset people & no employees in sight. After trying to get their attention for 20 mins finally that gal in the picture comes to the front counter. She explains that she can't honor the order we placed but that we can pay for it a second time with money we don't have because the app is holding it hostage. We are informed that that money will be returned in around 24 hours! She lies and tells us this is the third day in a row this system problem has been going on... Yet it was working just fine earlier & in the days before. I asked if she could do anything and she said no...
I then asked for the store managers name & number. She then lied again and told me she wasn't allowed to give it to me & then changed her story and told me she didn't know it cause she works nights đ¤Ś
She really wanted me to believe she didn't know her own managers name...
I asked for the district managers name or number & again she refused.
I told her it was fine I'd come in the morning & speak with the manager in person.
The terrible additude, the lies & total lack of customer service from this gal is abhorrent & plain flat unacceptable
The app holding people's funds hostage & this location expecting customers to pay for their meal twice is insane
This is just one of so many negative experiences here at this location. Please for the love of God do something. South Hill deserves a McDonald's that cares about...
   Read moreNow I take pride and giving good honest reviews. I have not given many 1-star reviews . I don't know what to say about this McDonald's. I have been to a lot of McDonald's in my lifetime. By far this is the worst McDonald's,I've ever been to. Now don't get me wrong I'm not a hater I do like McDonalds. I love their chicken nuggets I love their Double Quarter Pounders with cheese and many other things. When we first walked in it was very busy which is understandable when it's a Friday night. We ordered our food which took about 5 minutes. Then we waited another 15 minutes. So when we sat down to eat our food it was fresh no complaints there. But my burgers were raw in the middle now I like my Burgers a little rare in general but not from a fast food joint. As for everything else the condiments soda And straw area with the napkins was very dirty and unkept lots of dust dirt and grime all over the place. Went to the bathroom in the bathroom there was toilet paper everywhere. And their bathrooms did not look like they had been cleaned in a while. There was three yellow cones caution for wet floor by the door I saw one person almost fall and hurt themselves. All in all the restaurant was not so clean there was sticky soda on the tables the floor was not swept and the employees were seen standing around for quite a while doing nothing. As for the night manager or lead she was yelling at her employees in front of the customers. There was long lines long wait times And nothing seemed to be getting done.
