Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in South Hill

I placed an order online yesterday at around 1530 for delivery at 1800. The order was for an XL New York style pizza with pepperoni and sausage.

The pizza arrived at 1800, but looked and tasted like it was made when I ordered it, then set aside until it was time for delivery. Not only was the pizza nasty and xold, even the garlic sauce was congealed. On top of that, the crist was not New York style, it was just the regular Papa John's crust. They ONLY thing they did was cut the pizza into six slices instead of eight, but of course, the crust was too thick to really fold like a true New York style pizza.

To too off the experience, Papa John's sent me a survey on my experience, which I happily filled out. One of the last questions asked was if I wanted to be contacted, which I DID NOT! So of course the store called to apologize and offer a free pizza. First, I stayed in the survey that this was easily the worst pizza I ever had, so why offer me another? Second, I clearly said I did not qish to be contacted, ao why call? If you did not like my survey answers, try making...

I phoned in my order.That way all I had to do is go in and pick it up.I was standing behind a man that was ordering three large pizza it took 15 to 20 min standing their waiting.This man repeated to the employee on what he wanted on his 3 large pizza.Then the employee read back to the customer what he wanted on his 3 large pizza's.Then he was ringing up his order and the employee asked me if I was picking up I said yes the order was phoned in and paid for I just have to pick it up.Then the employee was telling the man on how much his pizza's are.Then the customer was telling the employee if their was tomato 's on his pizza .I couldn't believe how many times they went back and fourth about the pizza.While all this time my Pizza was sitting up their.Then one of the employee asked me for the name finally handed me my pizza and left I was pulling out of the parking spot and that same man was still at the counter.I don't think it should have taken that long for me to get my pizza handed to me when it was paid for on an on line order.Think twice if I...

Yeah, this place has been super hit or miss since we started ordering here. We just moved to South Hill back in May 2023 and the food has been so inconsistent here but tonight was the last straw.

The pizza had half the cheese on it that it needed and unfortunately after eating 2 slices I got to the crust of the second and am like 99% positive there was a baked Khapra Beetle larvae carcass up on the crust. I wish it had occurred to me to take pics before I washed it down the sink but it was a long day at work and I ordered pizza for our family because I was too tired to cook. I was even more convinced after I tried cutting it with a knife and it was hollow at the end and then when I squished the “head” it leaked out some kind of liquid. DISGUSTING!

Oh and that’s not even including the butter and garlic salt that was spilled all over the box for our bread sticks. So gross. I definitely won’t be ordering pizza here again. I’ve included pics of the pizza and all the huge spots where there...
