So it has been almost a year since Iposted the last review . Sadly I had to drop a star. We have been going to this location since it opened years ago in South Jordan. The food is still good but sadly the service has gone down hill. When we go through th line to order everything is great. When we order with app or call in a order forget it. They have yet to get a takeout order correct in a year. With the current Covid quarantine that is our only option. We order their takeout about every 10 days. They mess up something. Ask for no chips and sour cream o salad. Why bother they put on anyway. Order hot hatch pork burrito. Get the sweet pork instead. They really got us on May 1st. Called in order for the South Jordan Store by City Hall. That is where we always go. Showed up. They could not find our order. We never received email confirm order but we did receive email that they used our bonus points. Almost 30 min later I found out our order was sitting at the South Jordan District store. Getting cold. When I picked up they did not offer a discount or to remake it do it was hot and fresh. Now May 12th was final straw. Ordered 2 sweet pork salads with everything. One veggie tostado. All with tomatillo dressing. When wife asked to verify order. The girl read the reciept. Peeked in bag and said it was correct. She pushe order into car window and was gone. When we got home we had 2 veggie salads. 1 pork tostada and all the dressings were the viniggret. In over a year I have never had a takeout order that was correct. The receipt is but the contents do not match. For me personally we will not be back until we can order inside. For all of you chancing takeout. Take every item out of the bag and verify it. Don't let the person who delivered it to you get away. You will never get them back. On May 12th I tried to catch someone. They were all running and said they would find out who brought out our order. After 12min we finally left unsatisfied and frustrated. I wish someone from this location would respond. I am not holding breath. I gave a similar review almost a year ago to the day. That one was ignored 2.
Just don't understand why it is when we stand inline inside and watch them make our food it is perfect. Placing a takeout order by phone or online should be the same. Sadly it never ever has been. Read moreI ordered several pints of their amazing dressing for a Teacher dinner (Go Teachers, we love you!!!). Of course we would have ordered the entire meal from Cafe Rio, but you know how things like teacher appreciation dinners are--it is all volunteer stuff. We get what we can. Everyone brought their homemade parts of the cafe rio salad, but, we had to use the CR actual dressing (YUM!). It was my first time using the CR app to order something, and I accidentally ordered the wrong dressing (big oops!). But, five stars for the person in charge of this, she noticed, and thought that I had probably ordered the wrong thing (who orders the oil based dressing instead of the creamy dressing???) and was kind enough to call me and make sure what my order was. WOW was I impressed! Thank you to that person. I went there to pick it up, all happy about this location. Then went in and stood at the counter (there was a cash register there, so I thought I was in the right place). No one greeted me. No one paid attention to me. I tried to catch an eye... did see them see me, they just didn't do anything about it. Finally someone told someone to help me. They came over, but not to me, but to a different cash register a few feet away... Ok... But she didn't tell me to come to her, she still didn't say anything, she just looked at me with a blank expression. So, I went to her and said I need to pick up an order. She said, "Name?" I told her my name and then she proceeded to just punch numbers, not saying anything else... I wondered if she had heard me? Did she find what she needed to get me the order? I couldn't tell. Because she was giving me NO ATTENTION. Someone came over a minute later with the dressing, she told me the price, punched more numbers and that was all. Now, I don't need all eyes on me, I don't need her to fawn over me, but I do expect when someone in the SERVICE industry is SERVING me, they should act like they want me to return to their establishment so they can serve me again (and I pay them money...). I would have given 5 stars because of the person that was so awesome to call me about my order. Too bad that not everyone who works there can be so...
Read moreAnyone ever notice if the restaurant makes a mistake (like making your food wrong or forgetting half of it, bad customer service) that shoulders are just shrugged off and you are supposed to except it, go without it or YOU have to go back and get it? I normally always give the benefit of doubt and try to understand that maybe they are short staffed (especially with Covid the last while). I am sick of this location. They constantly forget ordered items or they do it completely wrong. My work orders from here all of the time and we always have a problem but have not said anything until now. Everything was put on the salad that was request NOT to be on it. Charged for the double meat to only find out there isn't double meet, did NOT put the dressing in the bag or in the dressing spot on the salad lid - completely wrong! After getting back to work I had to go get in my car and go back to get dressing and queso that was not in the bag. The girl who got the salad said she would try and pick what she could eat out of the salad. She shouldn't have to! When going into Cafe Rio I told the girl what was missing and how they messed up on the salad. She had to look and pull up my receipt, go over it, go talk to someone then comes back and tells me she will give me the dressing but I'll need to pay for the queso and said it wasn't on my receipt. Not sure what happened there because it was in my cart when we ordered, I'm sure something wrong with their system. I did not take my purse with me because I was going back again to get forgotten things. Absolutely would not give me queso - There is no way I'm going back to work AGAIN and returning to pay $2. I have countless times let things go that they have left out and didn't bother them with a call to refund me a dollar here and $2 there.
So extremely frustrating and wrong! We will be going elsewhere. And by the way, there were PLENTY of workers in there all over. There is no reason the order should of been wrong or...
