Firehouse Subs Daybreak — Restaurant in South Jordan

2 stars, meaning I wasn't impressed and won't be back.

For those who would like an explanation why, subs sounded good and I had been to a different Firehouse Subs with coworkers a couple years ago. So I thought I'd bring my kids to have dinner with at this location. The four workers behind the counter, granted they were very young, were unprofessional and clearly inexperienced in customer service. They were not congenial, and the whole time we were there, they were very loud and joking around. It's cool they were having fun, but it was just not an enjoyable experience dining in because of it. The person who took our order made a comment about how "busy they were getting again" to another co-worker while we were at the counter. Whether intentionally or not, it created a feeling that we weren't wanted, or that we were inconveniencing them. Also the back door was propped open for some reason, and it was absolutely freezing inside. And when we were leaving, they just awkwardly watched us walk out and didn't say thanks for coming in or anything. I get that they're just kids and I was probably expecting too much, but my point is that it wasn't a welcoming or cozy place to eat in. Especially when most other places I've been to, especially lately, have had awesome and friendly customer service.

I also didn't realize that the the small size sandwich was so small. My son said he was still hungry after he ate his sandwich and chips. They had asked if we wanted pickles on the side, but we didn't get any. My sandwich tasted good, though I was pretty hungry too and probably should have ordered the biggest sandwich they offered.

So overall just not a great experience, and I felt let down and unfulfilled. With so many great dining options around, this just isn't a place I would suggest or...

I believe theres negative trolls in our area, I am dismissing these negative reviews. Firehouse sub has flavor, community and satisfies my tastebuds! It’s unfortunate reviewers are quick to give poor cyber ratings without personally expressing their needs they need met. Where is the higher road these days? Sheesh! I have seen younger employees and thank you Firehouse subs for taking a chance on the next generation and building skills-set, you’re admirable for that! Please don’t order if you’re focused on criticizing before just ordering for its satisfying flavors that Sub way cannot match (I said what I said). Be gentle with comes out of your reviews before you’re the one making sandwiches for entitled customers such as yourself! I choose to be positive, and this location has the right people doing their best to satisfy customers, maybe be the customer that is worth going to work for??? Anyway, I’ll be going again, these people were patient with my toddlers running around, corrected as attentively as they could my order and I not only appreciate the service, also the team-work I noticed with these young folks! This is the 3rd time I have had a bad experience at this location. The first time I came here I overheard one of the employees making fun of an overweight customer. The second time I went there they closed and locked the doors before 8:30 PM and wouldn't help me even though they are supposed to close at 9:00 (I drove there after looking at their hours online). I decided to give this location one last chance because it is very close to my home and work. I made an online order for a large Engineer sub. I didn't add additional toppings or make any special requests. I picked it up, and brought it back to work. When I got back to the office and looked at the sub, not only was it not an engineer sub, it looked awful. The sandwich has a bunch of random stuff on it including steak, ham, and turkey (I think). Firehouse doesn't even offer a sub like this unless you special order it. When I talked to the location they didn't know what happened and apparently nobody else got the wrong sub. So I guess they made this random sub just for me. They apologized for the mix up and said I could come back in on a different day for a free sub but I don't want to eat at this...
