Read moreWe decided to do a progressive dinner for date night tonight and one stop was Thai Better. The four of us shared a Tom Yum and a Drunken Noodles and each couple shared a mini mango sticky rice. The Tom Yum was really good for a tomato-based soup. I don’t love tomato soups. 🤷🏼♀️ But with the rice it worked and had great flavor. The Drunken Noodles tasted a little bland in comparison but I like noodles so I enjoyed my share. The veggies were yum. The highlight of the visit was the mango sticky rice. We were all surprised when it came out because the rice was warm. The sauce was delicious and the mangoes added a little bit more flavor. It reminded me of a peach pie. I’d go back for that alone but we’re excited to try to Tom Kha (coconut version of the tomato soup) and massaman curry. The decor is interesting - a strange little baby-ish cartoon character in all the pictures. But the plastic forks and to go bags were all branded in such a cute way that I overlooked the baby. We figure it must be a chain somewhere else. It’s a little on the spendy side @ $12 per plate but that seems to be just the way of things here in SLC. All in all I’d recommend this place for a fast casual Thai food place. And if you go tomorrow remember to wish the friendly lady cashier a happy...
Read moreUPDATE BELOW: went in today and every table was dirty. there were only two people eating. the woman behind the cash register was hiding down below the counter and totally immersed in her cell phone and could not be bothered to greet or take orders, much less wipe off the tables. absolutely poor and rude. this place won't last long. You can see the owner response below. They clearly do not care about cleanliness or customer service because several others have said the exact same thing I said. They hired these two lazy people to work there and let them sit on their phones rather than do their job or even greet customers and take orders. The same two were there the last time i went in and i had to sit OUTSIDE because the tables were all sticky and dirty and there were ZERO customers inside. I don't care if someone uses their phone when nothing os happening, but when the place is a disaster and dirty... geez...That's just lazy and dishonest. Totally a Utah thing. Won't be back. And they won't...
