Had a $10 gift card so I thought I'd try it, got a large just peachy with no ice, a sugar cookie and their mini chocolate chip cookies. Ordered and paid with a girl outside with a hand held card reader, total came out to $11 and some change, paid 10 on my gift card and the remainder on my credit card which I heard beep and she said all good! Waiting in line for a minute, watching the person ahead of me pay at the window which was odd because I had seen them pay with the girl, and apparently they also thought it was odd because they gestured back down the line to the girl, I'm assuming saying that they already paid. So I get to the window and this kid asks for my name, I tell him and he says 'Okay your total is $1.69' I told him that I had already paid back with the girl, and he says 'Oh how did you pay?' And I answered with my gift card then my credit card. He said that her card reader isn't working, and I said back, well that's odd because it went through and she said I was good. He said well its not working, so I give him my card (which literally had $2 on it, perfect for the remainder of the payment) and he tries it and says 'It declined.' (Which means that the card reader did grab my payment, and it is also showing in my bank accout transactions.) So I hand him my other card and ask for a receipt, and he starts fumbling around, asking for help to 'check' the reciept taking a lot longer than it should to print out something that was just paid for. He eventually hands me a receipt which has 2 extra added items that I did not order and was not given, and was a total now of $13 and some change instead of the original $11. I get out of the drive through and go inside and get a refund, and the kid turns and looks at me then shakes his while turning back. I get that it was a two dollar difference, not a big deal, but the bigger deal is the fact that the whole thing was very sketchy and scam like, there was no adult in sight like this place was ran by teenagers (some of which just sat there and looked at me for a good few minutes before helping me get a refund) and I kind of doubt this was the first time they've done this. Very odd and seemingly dishonest. Oh and they put ice...
Read moreGo to this Swig all the time and have always loved the customer service. Recently, I pulled up and as they were handing me my order they told me that the person in front of me had bought a cookie for me. I loved the act of kindness and felt flattered. They followed that up by saying, “Would you like to reciprocate for the person behind you.” I was caught off guard and this kind of takes away from the service that the person did in front of me as it may have been unintentionally forced or strongly encouraged for them to buy it for me and not out of their own desire. I passed it on and didn’t think much about it until I returned about a week later and they did it told me the same thing and asked me again. I do not know whether this is Swig’s way of trying to make more money by selling more cookies or what. Personally, I am not in a financial situation to spend an extra $3 every time I go to Swig to buy a cookie for someone behind me but also, when put in this situation, find it rather hard to say no and stop this whole ‘Swig benefited service train’ they have going on. In my opinion, this is not a very good customer service tactic. If someone wants to buy someone a cookie, let them do so, but I don’t believe they should be asking everyone to pass it on. It would have been one thing if this happened one time but two times a week a part….just feels like forced service. I love Swig, honestly I do, but just wish this...
Read moreI’ll start with how much i really love swig! The drinks are great! I have visited alot of various locations all over utah! My personal favorites are the Utah county locations. 3 months ago I transferred job locations to South Jordan. Luckily i found a swig within 5 minutes, great! I have been coming here over the last 3 months on a DAILY BASIS. I hate this location. Just about every single time something goes wrong. 99% of the time it’s the wrong drink order. ( I literally get 1 single drink. Dr.pepper and vanilla….) I speak clearly. I’m polite. I even ask for them to repeat it back. Normally i will hop back in line and asked politely to have it fixed. Today I didn’t have time, the line was pretty long. I’m sure the young employees were overwhelmed. So i went in. Sat there for a minute. A girl frosting cookings kinda raised her voice and says : “ can someone help this” referring to me. Just staring at me. Uhm…. Okay? Then everyone just stared at me? Didn’t say anything. I understand the lobby is closed but I would assume you see a customer while you’re wearing a SWIG shirt you should at least say hello. If an employee is in uniform they represent a brand. Overall my issue was fixed. I’m just done coming to...
