We stayed for two nights and loved it. The staff was clean and friendly, the hotel was extremely clean and fresh. The grounds were very well kept and even though the location can be a little tricky to get around during high traffic it was relatively easy to navigate to it. I'm really picky when it comes to mattresses because I like a really firm one and MOST hotels have super soft ones that leave me with a back ache. Our mattress was great, still too soft for me but not so soft i was aching. I love the modern decor and fresh lines of it all. The trundle bed was fantastic and my 4 year old was over the moon about it (and that's saying something because she does not like sleeping away from home). I really like the Paul Mitchell products in the bathroom and enjoy the big, bright mirror and white tiles. Though I would suggest a night light or a dimmer on one of the switches so no one gets woken up with a midnight bathroom user. The pool was very nice, great temp and really good location (so as not to be in the direct sun all day). We enjoyed it being outside so the chemical smell was not overwhelming (hardly noticeable in fact) and the noise level was not reverberating off the walls. The fitness room as well equipped and easy to find, I only wish the temp was a little lower or that there were fans. I did appreciate the water machine that was big enough to fill my tall water bottle and the towels provided to wipe down the equipment and myself. Overall I would recommend this location to anyone traveling to that area. One cool thing they have in the lobby are the screens you can tap on and access a menu to find places to eat (though if you ask the staff they'll make personal recommendations), shop, visit, etc. You can also draw and do other things I'm didn't really have the time to discover. The breakfast was so good, with lots of options for many different dietary needs. I found it hard to not overeat ;) My only critique is that the trash cans outside and in seemed to be full consistently, no sure if that was just a short staffed situation or if that cans are just too small for the high use they'll encounter (they were really small) Thanks for making our stay in South...
Read moreI stayed at Spring Hill Suits Salt Lake City - South Jordan for several weeks, and it quickly became my home away from home. When I made the reservation, I explained I would be working there for at least half the day, every day, and the other half of the day I would spending at a nearby treatment center.
The staff was very accommodating. They helped me book a room in a quiet part of the hotel, and because of my weeks long stay was related to treatment (vs. business or vacation) they even worked with me on a generous rate for the hotel.
Everyone at the front desk was kind and friendly. They helped me become more familiar with the surrounding neighborhood, and one staff member in particular remembered my name, always said hello, and took the extra time to help me understand everything I needed to know about my bill.
The room was comfortable. The mattresses were very firm, and I realize a lot of people prefer them that way. I don’t, but I still got plenty of rest each night.
The layout of the hotel room was really functional. There’s a separate work space for your computer, which helps it to not feel too much like sleeping at the office. Internet speed was fine, and I never had problems with Skype calls or anything else.
There’s also a small fridge, and you can stock it with food from store in the lobby or take a short trip across the street to Harmons.
If you’re particular about your coffee, they do have a small coffeemaker in the room, but you might want to get familiar with nearby coffee shops. If you’re only concern about coffee is that it’s hot and has caffeine, you’re all set.
The continental breakfast offers the usual options, and it’s fine but not great. I enjoyed it though because it’s hard to beat that kind of convenience.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. The location is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Freeway access is nearby, and because it’s on the outskirts of a suburb, the neighborhood feels reasonably...
Read moreEverything was great with the exception of my check in process. I had booked my reservation using the mobile app and when I came in for my check in the Front Desk agent was not very helpful or pleasant. I don't know what her name was, but she was the older of the two ladies working at that time. In between sips of her drink while checking on the computer she was very indifferent with helping me. I thought I had only booked one night but it had actually been two. I told her this and she said something to the effect of you have to change it. I can't do anything from here. I asked her to show me how to do that on the mobile app and she was no help and said she didn't know how to cancel the extra night. After some time I was able to figure out how to modify my reservation. She then proceeded to check me in, between sips of her drink of course. Once I went with my family to the room I saw that it was only a King Trundle room. The reservation shows as a King OR Queen trundle with no option to select one or the other. I wanted a queen and the front desk person didn't ask me one way or the other what I preferred. I went back to her and pointed out that we wanted a Queen room. She said this was done automatically. I showed her the reservation on my app where it indicated one configuration or the other. She said, yet again and in between sips of her drink, that she couldn't help me. I asked for the reservations main number to see if they could. Unfortunately I was on hold for quite some time and we decided to just try and make the King room work. I work at a Las Vegas hotel and have a bit of an idea on how this should be, and I feel that no worker should be drinking in front of their customers or basically make them feel like it's their own problem to figure out. I realize that this is in no way indicative of my future stays. Nor has it ever been this way in the past. With that said, I still am a loyal Marriott brand customer and will continue to travel using their hotels...
