La Bon Bake Shoppes — Restaurant in South Plainfield

I give 5 stars for the food because having had it before it is always great. But I didn't even get to have any this time at 4:50pm on Sunday. The associate firstly didn't greet me or my son when we walked in. We stood there for a long while and no one assisted us. We waited patiently as we did not want to be rude and interrupt them but they didn't say a word didn't even look at us. My son and I calmly left the store and they didn't say a word. This is the bakery I come to by choice and to be treated like this is completely deplorable. I have to say I feel completely disrespected and I don't know why we were treated like this as I come here very often. Now even going back seems like a bad idea; because even if I got something from here it probably wouldn't taste good because all I could think about was how disgusting I was treated. And also I think doing inventory while customers are waiting to be served is...

If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. Starting off with the positives the service was great, but you don’t come to a bakery for the service you come for the baked goods. I ordered the tiramisu parfait I and Red velvet cheesecake square. They were both inedible and I had to throw them both away. The cheesecake Square in particular taste days and days old like a block of cheese covered in cake. I went to my doctor later that day and these terrible cakes gave me a food poisoning.(it was the only thing I ate that day so there could be no other culprit) Save yourself stay far, far away from this disease...

I frequent the ones in Woodbridge and S. Plainfield. All their products are excellent but their prices are a bit high. Their breads are always fresh! My g'sons love the cookies, speciality pastries are beautiful and tasty and their cakes are not only art work in sugar but always fresh. The buttercream icing is ok, I'm not really a big fan. The custard is superb! (Hint hint...maybe a little more between layers...it's soooooo good!

The young ladies behind the counters are all very sweet and deserve a tip...please don't forget them when...
