I’m very big on good customer service and it takes a lot for me to actually feel disrespected. However, I called this restaurant around 2:05pm on Sunday, February 6 to ask if they allowed dine in. The gentleman who answered the phone was VERY nice. He let me know that they were allowing dine in but they were closing at 3. I asked him if my family of 11 had time to come in to eat. He placed me on hold briefly just to ask (and I’m assuming) his manager if my family had time to come in to eat. Immediately in the back ground you could hear an older lady yelling saying “It’s 11 of them… If they’re not finished eating by 3 they still have to leave.” At this point I’m wondering if it made sense for us to come in, because by time time we ordered and the food was cooked, it would of been 3:00. Being considerate of the time, I asked the young man if he knew of any other pizza restaurants nearby that allowed dine in. The young man was doing everything he could to help me by attempting to search nearby restaurants. Out of no where the disrespectful lady starts yelling again. The guy even went as far as asking her why was she yelling with a customer on the phone. She responded by saying “WHY IS SHE ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS!!” She took the phone from him and literally started yelling directly at me at this point. I asked her why was she so upset. I never talked ugly to her. I simply said It doesn’t seem as if we’re welcomed here so we’ll try somewhere else. The lady just hung up. I work with the public every day and vow to treat all of my customers and my employees with respect. I really felt bad for the young man who answered the phone. I’m not sure why she was so angry but that’s definitely no way to treat anyone. I pray that the young man can find a job where he’s valued and where his elite customer service skills are...
Read moreI decided I wanted spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. My wife and I searched out Cosmo's from the reviews. I wanted a nice Italian restaurant and we got a hole in the wall. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and it was quite good! My wife ordered a wrap and asked the waitress if it would be possible if tomatoes could be left off the wrap and the waitress said sure. When my wife bit into the wrap yep tomatoes she tried to pick them off and I could see she was upset but wasn't going to say anything. I stopped the waitress and showed her and she made a horrible face and snatched the wrap basket off the table and in a belligerent voice " I'll get them to make you a new one! " Wow! I looked at my wife what's up with that? Then moments later the waitress came out and slammed the wrap and basket on the table and it slid over and hit my wife in the chest. I was furious I started to get up but my wife calmed me down. Told me to let it go. We normally tip very well. I didn't tip her at all. My wife didn't deserve that. I didn't deserve that, No one deserves that kind of treatment. And it's really a shame because the spaghetti and meatballs were really pretty good. We will never go back. I do not recommend...
Read moreI've had good pizza in N.Y.C. and Chicago. Heck, I've had good pizza from mom and pop joints out west all the way back to places on the east coast and down south to Key West, FL. Bar none, the pizza from Cosmo's was some of the best pizza I've ever had!! I don't know if the stars aligned on the evening of Mon. Oct. 25th for the perfect pizza pie, but the sauce was sweet, tangy, and spicy and the crust was not too thick or not too thin (just right) w/plenty of toppings, special sauce, & cheese to boot. In essence, Cosmo's Pizzeria created the perfect combination for one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted; literally, every bite (when mixed with our choice of toppings) created a combination of incredible flavors!! Our server Charlotte (local from the area) gave Excellent service & banter as we chatted it up over dinner. Being a pizza junkie, I try to experience local mom and pop pizza places when traveling to experience the local fare (and Cosmo's didn't disappoint)!! We'll definitely be back and can't wait to try this local pizza place again! ...
