Not my style and really feels out of place in OBX. You walk in and there's nothing telling you anything about what to order. Huge blank walls. Little paper menus with very little information on them you only get once you get to the register. So, if you don't know, you hold EVERYONE UP. And NOBODY wants to do that at a coffee shop.
You can't order some of the coffee as certain things, but you don't know that until you ask. Meanwhile the people behind you are waiting. You have to have a full out conversation about everything on the menu when they could simply just PUT IT ON THE WALL! So you can read everything while you are in line.
The coffee itself was good. But it's the type of place that doesn't mix it for you. And you don't know that until you get it.
It's out of place. It was worth the try. Coffee tastes good. Plenty of seating. It's very trendy and "hip", which again is out of place at OBX.... it won't be a place we go back to considering the plethora of coffee options that actually do inform you upon...
Read moreCame in this morning on my way to work for one of their soft opening days. I had asked for a mocha, but it apparently wasn’t going to be on the menu until later in the week because they were perfecting the recipe. The cashier suggested several other options, but I was only craving a chocolatey coffee, so I mentioned I would just stop by tomorrow. As I was ready to leave one of the ladies from behind the counter said she’d be willing to try making me one if I had a few extra minutes to wait. I am so glad I did! Hands down one of the best mochas I have had. She mentioned that they hand melt real chocolate to mix with the espresso. Absolutely perfect amount of sweet and bitterness all topped with sea salt. I also ended up getting the pumpkin bread and it was amazing. Not to mention the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the inside is beautiful with so much room to sit and stay a while. Think I found my new...
Read moreThis coffee shop is incredible! We walked in 10 minutes before closing, and all of the staff welcomed us with smiling faces. My husband is known for asking an annoying amount of questions and requesting samples before making a decision. He didn’t even have to ask as the barista offered samples of some of their most popular flavors to help him make a decision. I came in with the intention of purchasing a coffee and decided on the hibiscus tea after being offered a sample. It was so refreshing! So surprisingly delicious. Even though my husband decided on the bourbon vanilla iced coffee, he decided he wanted something sweeter, and they happily replaced his coffee with a salted caramel. The owner, Lauren, was so patient and super sweet. The decor is so modern and beautiful. The shop is very clean. We loved everything about this place. We...
