My new FAVORITE pizza place on the beach! My husband has always stopped by here on his lunch break, but last night was my family and I’s first time trying out Southern Shores Pizza, and we were not disappointed! After we did an escape room, we came in and ordered pizza for our party or 7 adults and 1 baby. The front desk woman was so very helpful and patient while we went over the menu and she was gracious enough to give us suggestions. We ordered 1 large cheese pizza for the kids, 1 half meat half pesto and another half meat half supreme. We also ordered a Stromboli and bread sticks and a large fries. Everything was cooked in a timely manner. We gave our cell phones for text when ready, but the front woman ended up bringing us our pizza while in the cafeteria style dining area (next door) … we actually never recieved a text so we didn’t clarify if their texting services were working or not, but she was kind enough to bring our pizzas to us with a smile on her face! She was wonderful and the pizza was amazing! Def the best pizza place on the beach! As we were finishing up to leave , a Camden county soccer team was coming in. They were accommodating to the soccer team as well even though it was getting late. We thought that was refreshing as many places probably would not have took on that many people on such short notice! So 5 stars all around for Southern Shores Pizza! Atmosphere and service was great. Staff was very nice. The store was very clean. If only I had such high things to say about their food. To preface I am from Buffalo, NY and we are very picky about our pizza. We ordered a medium sized pizza, full pepperoni, and half mushroom. The pizza smelled good but there was tons of grease that I had to mop it up with paper towels. Wish I took a photo of the paper towel afterwards but you can see how orange the pizza is in photo 1 from all the grease. The pizza slices are soggy and floppy also not evenly cut. The cheese was VERY salty but we think it’s from the grease that came from the pepperoni. The crust was thin as paper and not very flavorful. I will say the quality of ingredients does seem to be relatively decent, as I tasted some garlic on my one bite. We didn’t order anything else but we were considering ordering wings. Being from Buffalo, we’re also very picky about our wings. When I went to order the wings, I noticed there were 3 options. Blue cheese, ranch, and hot sauce. We decided not to order them because there weren’t sauce options for the wings and offering sauce on the side is alluding to the fact that they don’t toss their wings which is a huge NO. I’m not sure how their other food is but based on other reviews it seems that their pizza is the best which is sad. I wanted to like this place but we won’t be returning. Stop on the way to the hotel in Corolla. The Store front was clean and our order was taken and fulfilled correctly. While the 2 Italian subs were ok at best the bread makes this style sub and it was very chewy with no crust. The filling was very sparse but tasted good. At $25 for two sandwiches we wouldn't stop here again.
