Brady's Tavern — Restaurant in Southfield Township

I want to love this place because of the location, great servers and cute decor, but the menu is incredibly boring. I've been 3 times and have gotten a burger every time and it is bland. The fries are always soggy and undercooked, even though I order them well done. We will still go in for drinks, but for food even McDonalds makes a better burger. They need to buy their fries somewhere else, spice up the outdated menu and add some daily specials that are more unique and flavorful.

Edit: You can see that I do not write reviews, I did so out of desperation because I love your location/staff. I hoped it would at least be something you might consider. I'm sure you are aware that the fries are not crispy and they are white, you can see the photos online. Fries should be crisp/golden, not white/soggy. Again, I've tried 3 times and order them well done. It isn't a big ask or that hard to try a different supplier for your fries when you see they aren't great. Would it put you out financially to add a garlic aioli or a big mac style dressing or a fun sauce to spice things up? You'd be amazed what a clove of garlic in a dipping sauce can do. We have always enjoyed Bradys...we live in the neighborhood and dine there a few times a year. I was very disappointed to find that they are now adding 3% to the check for a credit card fee. If our server is to be believed, they also charge the server 3%, so owners are taking 6% from guests and servers for credit card fees. I never complain about prices when I go out to eat, I know I can eat and drink cheaper at home. However, marking up alcohol by 80%, wine by 40%, and then charging guests AND staff for a guest who chooses to pay with a credit card I find hard to swallow, pun intended. I will probably choose to dine elsewhere from now on. I would have communicated this privately to the restaurant but there is no email contact listed on website that I could find.

This place is an absolute gem! I randomly found it after my nail appointment down the road and I am SO glad that I did. The drinks were strong and well priced and the whitefish was the best I have ever had! Huge piece perfectly cooked with a thin, crispy batter served with two sides from a huge selection! Truffle fries were delicious and DO NOT sleep on the key lime pie, hand made by the owners themselves... Incredible!

The best part of the whole experience was the AMAZING service that Joyce provided. She was fun, friendly, and attentive and I will be going back to see her very soon despite living pretty far away.

Oh, also their shiny copper penny bar top is super cool! Definitely...
