I just left this establishment and the service was beyond terrible. Until today the service was great. I ordered a family size amount of fish and okra and asked for hot sauce. I was given one hot sauce for all of my food and the container was half full. The problem came when I asked for an additional hot sauce and was told it was additional $1! I told the cashier I am a repeat customer and was always given 2 hot sauces with my order and I never had to ask for additional. She then goes to get her manager, which comes to me with the worst attitude ever. He tells me his employees were not supposed to give me 2 and that he had to have a mtg with them. Then he tells me I should read his store policy, which is in the counter torn and faded. I say okay and that I won't be coming to this establishment again and as I am walking to leave he continues to loudly and agressively lectures me about his store policy. I turn around and tells him to stop talking to me and he continues to argue about his policy. The service I received was terrible. The manager used very harsh and inappropriate language with me. He could have said although my employees didn't follow the policy, I'll give this to you this time but next time the policy is to pay for condiments. The service I received was, we don't give a damn if you come back or not. I'm a woman and a man should never speak to a woman in the manner he spoke to me. His demeanor speaks to the climate of that restaurant. I will never patronize them again. Their is a JJs fish and chicken near by with excellent service and they give you condiments for your food without a hassle or extra charge. After ordering a 8 piece dark meal and it not being cooked completely throughout. 🤢
We were told they could not replace it that night because it was the end of the night and they had already turned the fryers off.
The lady manager we spoke to at the time just told us to call and have the meal replaced when we were ready. She didn’t state anything about keeping a receipt or bringing the food back.
So now fast forward to today and us ordering a $50+ worth of more food. I asked to have the meal replaced and the the current manager Vernon stated he could not replace the food without the receipt.
I understand they have policies to abide by, but to lose a customer forever over replacing a eight dollar meal seems really absurd.
I understand the policy for a meal replacement but the company should also empower their management to be able to replace a meal. Especially one that’s only eight dollars.
I know this is a fairly new location but this isn’t the first time I received poor service regarding food quality and customer service.
The 8 Mile location is no better. But until we can get consistent good quality food and service. I asked that you choose somewhere better to spend your money.

Had asked the worker if we could have plates, and can you imagine? They charge for paper plates AND for hot sauce packets. Why have tables if you can't even properly eat? Plan on eating with your hands because they don't have plasticware either. Napkins are NOT readily available (as with most restaurants) and you have to ask the cashier for them. But even then, they'll only give you one or two sheets if you're lucky. Location has FALSE advertisement – we came in since we saw their poster advertising a deal and had told us "that deal no longer applies" – why have it out on the storefront if it's no longer effective? Absolutely unprofessional. Very disappointed customer and surely will NOT be suggesting this location to others. If you decide to go here, may the best of luck...
