Fuddruckers — Restaurant in Southfield

I haven’t even received the food yet and I’m already not happy. The service isn’t great so far. The waitress, “Unique,” has an attitude problem. I asked her if this was the last Fuddruckers in the state of Michigan. She responded with, I don’t know, probably very snarky like then walked away. I’m not sure what her problem is but you guys won’t be in business for much longer if your wait staff drive away your remaining customers. This Fuddruckers doesn’t align with any other location I have frequented. Okay, just ate the burger, even that isn’t as good as I remembered it being. It was still good. This will be my last time going to a Fuddruckers in Michigan I guess. Upon receiving the check, I noticed that they automatically included a 20 percent gratuity. In the state of Michigan, they can do that, however, customers must be notified. Notification has to be conspicuous via the menu and posted separately in the restaurant. That isn't the case here. They had a small sign near the bar separate from the dinning area which is not clear or visible. I had to have the manager remove the gratuity which he gave a little pushback to. What they did was very deceptive and unethical. What’s funny is that they had the suggested tip amounts listed at the bottom of the receipt in addition to the automatic gratuity they tried to squeeze out of me. Do...

Evergreen Bar & Grill in Southfield (the old Fuddruckers) was a huge disappointment. I really wanted to like this place, but they took away everything that made Fuddruckers great … no salad bar, no cheese station, no fun atmosphere, just a stripped down, generic bar setup with far less charm.

We ordered burgers, which were just okay, but the happy hour margarita was extremely watered down. The happy hour menu just said “margarita,” so when I asked for a strawberry version, I got charged full price anyway. On top of that, they automatically add gratuity to your bill and then hand you another slip to leave an additional tip which feels really shady.

The food is overpriced for small portions, the fries weren’t even warm, the meat texture was off, the tables are packed too close together, and service is painfully slow.

Between the mediocre food, confusing pricing, and lack of the things that used to make this place special, I don’t see myself coming back. Evergreen Bar & Grill really needs to rethink both their operations and their customer experience because right now, it’s a big step down from what...

Stopped into @southfieldfudds for lunch today. I haven’t been to a Fuddruckers in probably 20 years. This one is set up very fast casual which I prefer for a work lunch. The specials from 11-3pm are nice, burger fries and drink for $12.50. The premium toppings range from expensive to average, they are $1.29 to add, but why are grilled onions the same price as bacon? Now onto the food, the fries are wedges, awesome. Problem though, they were so salty I downed 3 waters for my meal. Hopefully a cook mistake and not how it always is. 5/10. The burger was cooked perfectly medium like I ordered. The toppings bar was neat, clean, fresh, and just how I’d want it to be. The bottom bun was huge but soft and compressible. Burger was an 8/10. Add in the make your own coke machine, which I love, and I’ve got a new lunch spot. Fix those fries and you’ve got a solid 8/10. Knocked down to a 7/10 overall for me because of that. I will try...
