Uncle Joe's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Southfield

Tried a four finger meal. Came with sauce, fries, coleslaw, and Texas toast. The coleslaw was nice, light on the mayo. Texas toast was just your normal white bread lightly buttered. Fries were a standout, lightly battered nearly steak fries in size, crispy all over with a nice fluffy interior. Tenders were not what I expected, but fantastic nonetheless. Exceptionally juicy and tender white meat with a light crispy batter that seemed a bit weak at first inspection but satisfied the palate immensely, perfectly cooked, GBD. Got a variety of sauces to sample. Ranch was very good and made in house. Uncle Joe's sauce is good, like a sweet southwest sauce. Sweet and sour and barbecue both solid choices as well. Went for a late lunch about 1:30pm and it was nearly full but service was extremely quick and polite. I personally prefer bone on fried chicken but can't fault this place for doing one thing really well. Interested to try their fish...

Yesterday I stopped by to get 6 flat wings and a small fry for my sister. I do not reside in Michigan so this was my first visit. Here's what I don't understand...this restaurant sells chicken wing dings yet refused to sell me 6 flats. Why? The younglady at the front said, we can't sell them like that because they come in a bag and they can't just take 6 flats out. Wait...what? Yes, you read that right and I'm just as confused. I asked several times and three employees that spoke up each said the same thing, "We can't do that." This is not a place I plan on trying. When we got home and my sister opened her meal, she had 4 drum pieces and 2 flats. I do not think this was by accident. Food is great. My disappointment is with placing GrubHub orders. The restaurant has consistently NOT given me my drink when I have ordered from GrubHub. A couple times they did, but more often than not, they don't. Finally today I messaged my driver and said "plz make sure they give you my drink". She messaged back saying they won't, that they don't give out drinks with GrubHub orders. That's ridiculous especially since it's stated on THEIR menu on the app, the drink is included in the combo and I'm paying for it! How you just going to decide you not giving out a drink because it was ordered from GrubHub. This has happened before and I have called the restaurant and left messages and no one has even bothered to return my calls either.
