I attended a business dinner at The Henley, and it was a great experience overall, with one exception.
The food was outstanding. The Bang Bang Shrimp was flavorful, and the appetizer platter—an artistic combination of fruit, cheese, jam, and meats—offered an interesting mix of unique flavors.
For my main course, I had the 8 oz filet, which was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. The red wine demi-glaze paired beautifully with it, though I wouldn’t have minded a little more of it. The steak came with garlic mashed potatoes and onion straws (which I'll mention later), both of which were delicious. Honestly, the steaks seemed larger than 8 oz!
Several of my coworkers raved about the Henley Burger—a massive creation that looked fantastic. The fries were also excellent and came in such a generous portion that no one could finish them.
Our server was friendly and attentive, making for an enjoyable dining experience.
However, we did encounter one issue: a member of our party who is allergic to gluten ordered the filet, which was listed as gluten-free on the menu. Unfortunately, it was served topped with breaded onion straws, which aren't gluten-free and required the kitchen to remake it. The restaurant handled the situation well by apologizing, remaking the dish, and comping it from the bill, but menu items labeled as allergen-free should be verified more carefully.
Aside from that, everything was great, and I’d absolutely recommend The Henley....
Read moreBooked a breakfast and dinner here as we were looking for a nice restaurant to take our daughter. Did not realize at the time it was a hotel restaurant. We arrived and realized it was a hotel, so we entered in the hotel towards the restaurant. No greeting but as we walked in someone saw us and showed us to a seat. We ended up with two cups of coffee as we couldn’t understand the waitress completely. It was horrible coffee and we did not drink it. I then asked for a menu and was told to go to the buffet. I responded again that I would like a menu please and that I had booked breakfast. I was told it would take a really long time in an unpleasant tone. I explained again that I have booked breakfast at this time and I would like a menu. I eventually got a menu after what seemed like a manager having to tell the waitress to give us them. We ordered and the food did not take long, but it was bad. I had eggs Benedict, my Wife and daughter shared pancakes. Mine came with what was meant to be breakfast potatoes but was actually boiled hard potatoes. The hollandaise sauce wasn’t good. Then add that for two meals, two horrible coffees and a couple of drinks of juice it was $60 was terrible. I expect a nearly $20 eggs Benedict to be very good. Go to Eggsquisite Cafe and your eggs Benedict will be $12 and better than this place. Between the high price for bad food and poor service, we cancelled our dinner and will not...
Read moreWhat an amazing dinner! I usually do not write reviews but our experience at the new Henley Restaurant deserves it. The restaurant has a completely new personality compared to the old Copelands. My husband and I enjoyed our chef’s table dining experience. Regina and Elijah were our host for the evening, and we were treated like royalty. Chefs Raj and Teco prepared a 5-course meal that was curated just for that evening. Each course was crafted to perfection, the food presentation, color, taste, and even the plates used complimented each other. Aside from the mouthwatering food offerings each meal was paired with especially unique cocktail. Delance was very knowledgeable about every cocktail served on our table and has stories to tell behind each drink. The evening was truly remarkable and one we would remember forever. Thank you to incredible team that put this dinner together I would say you’ve hit every spot. If you’re looking for good food, exceptional service, cozy atmosphere with a reasonable priced meal this is the place to be...
