A once upon a time place we would go for the kids, and even mom and dad enjoyed a spicy chicken sandwich or two.
Consistency is a key with Chick-fil-A, where you get the same fresh food each and every time. Same friendly trained staff, and always consistent menu.
Outside our kids love for the fries, which we will get on occasion, we stopped eating here for the way we felt after eating anything breaded, due to the gluten, soybean oils, and some of the 50+ other ingredients on some of their items (look it up) that doesn't settle well with the always educating ourselves insights on how the body really does with some of those ingredients. Each body is unique, however restaurants like this, in my opinion, should be a once in a while treat if that.
I believe as humanity increases our understanding of what really is beneficial, tasty, and of benefit and quality to the body, companies like this will adapt, and move towards the same. Chick-fil-a seems to be on the listen-to-science side of chains, where they will make changes to their ingredients and foods as we educate the populace on the subtle ingredients that, over time, may indeed aggravate the combination of other things we intake in a society built around for profit consumption foods. Most of it literally, in my continuing to educate myself opinion, does nothing for the body, and then adding a fast food item ontop of it, isn't helping anything but telling the body it's full.
Outside those insights, Chick-fil-a is a solid consistent menu of freshness and as high quality as you can find in it's category. Here's to the ownerships learning more about the types of oils they use, ingredients they allow in their foods, and continually moving towards organic options cooked...
Read moreThe Spanish Fork Chick-fil-a has always been a favorite for our family. However, I can’t give 4 stars after today. Nothing really bad happened but I’m just a little disappointed. I went through the drive up and ordered a couple 30 piece nugget meals, and a 12 piece nugget. My family shares the big 30 piece ones and they all like different sauce. So I’m telling the guy that for all those nuggets I need 6 ranch sauces, 3 honey mustard, 3 BBQ, and 4 Buffalo. He’s sitting there typing it all in like it’s no problem. When I got my bag, I see some of the sauce on top, so I didn’t double check. Then I get all the way home, and find out there’s hardly any sauce. Who wants to eat nuggets without all the yummy sauce from Chick-fil-a? My kids don’t. There was no buffalo at all and hardly any of the others. I look on the receipt that was stuck on the bag, it’s says 2 of each sauce. So, as you can see it’s not a huge deal, I still give 4 stars to this location, but why? Why couldn’t he just have said that I’m asking for more than I am allowed? I would have gladly paid for extra. It’s not the fact that they didn’t give extra sauce, although I think I asked for a fair amount compared to how many nuggets I ordered, but it’s that the guy stood there making me think he is typing in what I’m asking for but actually purposely putting in “2”. I just feel it was rude. At least tell me that you are not giving me what my family uses when we go to Chick-fil-a, so that I can buy it or figure...
Read moreNote that I love Chic-fil-a. There's hardly a better fast food option than the Spicy Chicken Deluxe. This review is about this specific location. We pulled into the drive through on a Saturday evening around 7:30. The line was long but hey, that's the price you pay for Chic-fil-a, and one I've paid happily for in the past. It all started when I went to order my kids some chicken nuggets (hands down best nuggets in the fast food industry) and they were sold out. I asked if there was any specials or discounts to compensate and was told no. Ok so I ordered the chicken fingers instead for the kids. When we arrived at the window to get our food, I asked the young individual receiving my payment if they would consider throwing in a free french fry or a shake or something to make up for the lack of chicken nuggets. He in turn asked his manager to talk to me and said, "Sure, what would you like?". He cordially agreed to give me a peach shake. Wonderful. Kids = happy :). After handing me the shake I told him thank you, to which he rudely responded while slapping his hand on the counter, "hope you enjoy it" instead of the typical "my pleasure". Now I understand the guy was probably very stressed out due to many people like me disappointed about the lack of nuggets, and had probably been pestering him about free stuff as I had. He did give me the shake, but I was very disappointed in the delivery and snarky attitude. Unfortunately, I won't be back to...
