FUJI Westgate — Restaurant in Spartanburg

I wish there was an option for no stars at all. I am highly dissatisfied with this unprofessional establishment. I placed a pick up order for a simple chicken and rice plate with no veggies and then a terrakyi chicken plate. Upon arrival I am asked the name and I give it, then I am questioned multiple times what did I order, how many plates on the order, and I must have called the wrong location when I pulled up my phone and showed them that it was this location. They said on the phone that both plates would be ten dollars and seventy one cents. After being questioned about placing an order they proceeded to tell me they don’t even sell the chicken and rice no veggie combo after they priced it over the phone I highly think that this restaurant needs a staff that actually knows how to take orders properly and learn the menu so they don’t sell food combos they “actually Don’t sell”especially the rude owner who proceeded to yell the questions in my face over it. I will not come back to this ignorant joke of an eatery. At least the jack in the box up the street...

I bought food from here tonight only to find when I got home the steak was burnt, there was no shrimp sauce on my plate no to mention my order was not correct. I called and talked to the manager who was not concerned at all about what I had to say I’m guessing because they were busy so I told him I was bringing it back. The manager said ok and hung up. It pisses me off that they can careless about the gas you have to use to drive back to the place you just left spending my hard earned money that helps keep them in business. When I got there the same guy who took my order 10-15 minutes ago asked me for my order again when I explained to him that I just called and my order was not correct, not only did he offer to remake it which would take another 10 minutes again but not refund me. I expect as a business person just for the inconvenience of having to waste my gas coming back to correct your mistakes would get my order right the second time and refund my money. No thanks just give my money back and I will take to somebody else because clearly you Don’t value...

We eat from Fuji at least once a week. It’was a draw between Duncan and west gate up until a few months ago. Duncan is now our go to. More food quantity and quality. I don’t know what happened to this location but it was our go to. Steak is way overcooked when you ask for medium. Shrimp is way overcooked. If I wanted chewing gum and beef jerky I would go to QT. I request my food to be cooked to a certain degree for a reason. Sad that this used to be (in my opinion) the best around. Duncan is now and officially the winner. Just wish they had the ginger salad like west gate. Other than that just being real and this is the 3rd or fourth time I’ve requested my steak and shrimp to be cooked a particular way and it’s WAY overcooked despite request. Just saying. As much as we eat from this chain I feel it’s time to do a review. Duncan location slays. West gate is flavorful and edible.I’m giving it 3 stars because it’s nostalgic in my opinion and still decent. But when someone asks to cook their steak a certain way PLEASE do it. I have receipts.
