First I want to share my personal experience with this location. Multiple times, about 4 or 5 times, I have gotten the complete wrong order. I’ve been given a large fry and cfa sandwich instead of a spicy deluxe and a medium fry. Today I received a grilled club instead of a spicy deluxe and a medium fry once again instead of my usual large. That is only naming 2 of the 4-5 times I have gotten the complete wrong order. About 7 times I have received something extra or something was missing from my order.
The atmosphere is very much like the McDonald’s on every street corner. No longer do I expect CFA level quality on items or service. I expect mediocre, much like I do with every McDonald’s. And, on top of that, the atmosphere is only worsened by constant complaining from outside employees. It, overall, feels like a dreadful place.
The food is mostly good. Whatever food item I end up receiving, though wrong more often than not, is good. Sometimes even great. I often ask myself, “why didn’t I order this instead? This is great!” But alas, it is not the food that I have ordered.
Now I do not know if they’ve permanently shut down their third lane that takes use of the conveyor belt. But, when it was up and running, it was the slowest line out of the three. I soon found out why. No, it was not the speed of the delivery system from the main house to their section, but the constant and troublesome talking from team members inside handling my food while pausing periodically to crack another joke to their friends. I understand that a director or supervisor cannot be present in that section at all times, but service was indeed slowed.
I’ll end this by saying that, overall, it’s below average. There is hardly a difference between this CFA and most McDonald’s as far as service. I will mention that whenever I am directly addressed, it is always very polite and team members are always smiling. But whenever I roll up my window, it goes back to blatant complaining. I get it, you’re getting paid $15 an hour, but you chose to do this.
Overall, it’s less than mediocre.
And no, I do not write reviews for every place that I receive the wrong order. People make mistakes, I understand. But when the same location fails to deliver time and time...
Read moreReturning to Florida from summer camp in Hendersonville, North Carolina, my daughter and I happened upon this Spartanburg Chick-fil-A, right off of the Interstate 26 exit at Westgate. I must say, it's the busiest Chick-fil-A I've ever visited.
Making our way through the double drive-thru lane, Hailey was our cashier. This location was so busy, they had two outside cashiers in an effort to keep vehicle traffic off the main road. She even asked us to pull up a bit to "get other cars out of traffic." Hailey took our order for a 30-count chicken nugget - with 10 Polynesian sauce - and a large lemonade. Cashier was pleasant and moved us along as fast as she could.
Making our way through the left side of the building took another five or so minutes. Not that big a deal as my daughter and I spoke about what a busy location this was. This Chick-fil-A is a true double drive-thru with windows on both sides of the building. Not realizing this at first, I ended up on the left side of the building and had to reach across my vehicle to the passenger window. Not a big deal - just figured I would mention it.
Received our food from a pleasant cashier at the window and were along our way. Biggest problem with our order? Only 28 chicken nuggets - my daughter counted them twice. I'm like "are you sure - open your mouth." She opens her mouth and says "Dad really - I counted them twice." Lemonade was large and made to order. Polynesian sauce and napkins were included in our take-out bag.
A decent experience as far as overworked and busy staff at a hard to access location. This Chick-fil-A only receives 3 stars as I only received 28 chicken nuggets and had to wait longer than expected for them. I don't mind waiting a bit for better than normal fast food, but I do expect a complete order upon leaving. Usually someone forgets the napkins or straws - here they forgot a couple of my chicken nuggets.

Read moreI normally enjoy Chick-Fil-A restaurant food. Atmosphere varies from place to place with some very uncomfortable for out of town visitors and some welcoming, clean and pleasant. This particular one is not the worst but it was a huge disappointment as we stopped by for a quick bite and bathroom stop on our way past Spartanburg. 1st, it's drive thru with only picnic style outdoor seating, which is fine, but we didn't notice that at first. So i pulled into a spot and we walked up to find the restaurant entrance before any of the 3 of us realized there was none. Maybe the signage could be improved or maybe that's just our own faults. The restroom appeared to be locked. At that point we supposed a key might be needed but how do you get that at a busy drive thru? Maybe it was just occupied. If that's the case, perhaps some sort of occupied vs not mechanism could be added? And a sign saying whether or not a key is required and how to get one? It reminded me of some rusty old gas station restroom doors though. I didn't opt to wait around or try to walk through cars for a key. We got back in our car and went through the drive through for our stuff. Another mistake I didn't realize at first was the lane we ended up in had a passenger side window. Well I had passengers that day, so it worked. My sandwich bun was so dry it just kept crumbling apart as I was eating. I guess we should have used the picnic area instead of driving and eating. Or the franchise should use fresher buns.
The only good parts if the whole experience were that the attendant was friendly and efficient, and the waffle fries were as good as those from other Chick-Fil-A restaurants. I plan to avoid this one...
