WhataPOS... First of all let me say I love whataburger and I would say it's my #1 favorite fastfood burger place of all and I've been to the one in Boiling Springs over a dozen times since their grand opening. Having said that and going to Whataburger's in Tennessee I have zero complaints except for this one and this one is a sad example for this side of spartanburg and it's too bad it's the closest one to me but it's ok I'd rather go 10 miles away to boiling springs for one that can get your orders right and serve hot fresh food in a timely manner. But for WO Ezell and this westside whataburger if you like incompetent employees, low low quality customer service, a near 100% chance of your order being wrong either by the cashier and believe it or not even if you use the kiosk there's still an extremely high chance they will mess your order up. Expect items missing from your order, expect the order being prepared wrong and possibly a long wait. If you don't mind that kind of experience then this is the right place to go, as for me I'd rather drive 10 miles instead of 1.5 miles and go to a better run restaurant with a better manager and a staff of better employees to get the same food but I can say better because you'll get it while it's hot and should anything go wrong with the order it won't take 10 to 15 minutes to get condiments or 30 minutes to have them bring missing food items they forgot to give you that you pay for and you won't have to eat food made wrong as not the way you ordered. I really wanted to like this location and I've been waiting all year for this and I even waited a week after grand opening knowing as with anything new there could be some small issues to work through but my experience is not based on a 1 time visit either I tried to give them a chance but as they say 3 strikes and you know the rest so 3 bad experiences and eating inside and watching and listening to other people having the same problems I had tells me that this extremely low quality subpar service is going to be...
Read moreWhataburger is, IMO, in the top tier of a low-mid range dining experience. It's fast food, but at the new SC locations I've been to, I feel like management cares about the customer and my opinion of Whataburger on the whole has improved. I think their chicken sandwich and Whatawings are better than expected and maybe even better, for what they are, than the standard burger. I think they are creative with their menu options and the quality is pretty high, again, for what it is. I very much appreciate that their app and survey rewards offer me something for free or greatly discounted with almost every visit, which is what makes it possible for me to visit with any frequency.
My first few experiences at this new restaurant really turned me on to the franchise one the whole. One experience here was an example to me of the importance of hiring the right people. I was in the restaurant with my family and it was fairly busy at breakfast time which seemed unusual, but it was because there was a giveaway that day for free breakfast biscuits. One of the employees in the kitchen was complaining very loudly about the volume of customers and people only wanting "free food". It seemed clear to me that this person had a bad attitude and was merely inconvenienced by having to work a little harder for a short period of time and failed to see the bigger picture that this marketing was intended to, and likely would, create new customers and increase job...
Read moreNice clean store with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately listening is not a strong point when it comes to the customer service. On 3/18/25 during the 6:00 PM hour I ordered a number 14 which is the boneless chicken bites Combo and Requested the honey barbecue flavor. In return, I was charged and given a A boneless bites kids meal with honey, mustard sauce. I was also charged for the kids meal too. When I Informed the young lady that she charged me for the wrong item and I would like to pay for and receive what I ordered; she Gave me a deep eye roll and told me that she had to go talk to her manager. She came back with the kids meal and told me to just take it and have a great day. No one attempted to correct the order. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager didn’t have time I guess. I won’t provide the young lady’s name on here because I feel like she could’ve been a child. However, active listening And positive attitude needs to be a focal point when it comes to customer service. Especially when you never know who you’re in the presence of or who knows who. In closing, I don’t want anything free nor am I willing to give a Third chance to be disappointed after dealing with the unresponsive manager, and the young lady who struggled with active listening. Please focus on fixing these minor issues so that a good franchise will be ran into the ground...
