Last Thursday I ordered 25 copies and for the edges to be trimmed and for the pages to be cut into four sections (all options offered online) when I picked up my prints they were cut extremely poorly, half didn’t have straight edges and the other half cut off my logo. I called and they said they would reprint everything and cut again. I called a few hours later and they said I had to come back in in order for them to be reprinted but at this time I had no one to watch my son and I could not come in. I came in on Friday on my lunch break and discussed the issue with someone who said the problem would be fixed shortly. I called a few hours later and was told my copies were printed but not cut and to wait on a phone call that they were ready. I never received a call so I called on Saturday. I was told my copies were ready. I came into the store to find my copies were never printed and never cut but it was the same box of the wrongly cut original copies. At this point I was behind on mailing my copies out for my small business and I asked for them to be reprinted, cut and a refund. I was offered a 50% refund. When the copies were printed and cut again I went ahead and got another 25 to avoid being backed up on mailing again. When I picked up my now order of 50 copies and took them home to cut the edges off (because apparently they cannot cut it 4 ways and cut the trim even though I was told originally they could) after hours of trimming the edge myself I discovered that the cuts made by their team were actually not straight AGAIN. I have a small business from home and a son I watch full time, I cannot afford to lose money due to a company I cannot trust and I cannot keep going back to Office Depot every 3 hours to baby sit them to make sure things are printed and cut correctly. Working with this facility has been a nightmare and I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve lost sales and will probably lose customers over...
Read moreSo, I needed a couple of items. Just wanted to walk in, grab them and check out. I have a "rewards" account, but all in wanted was to check out and get home. The young lady told me to enter my phone number. I said "I just want to check out." She stood up, walked away and said "I'm not going to deal with your attitude. I'm not going to check you out!." Honestly, I didn't have an attitude. I've done this before, and what I get is "no problem." I looked at the guy at the other register and said "what did I do?" In a very condensing tone, he said "I will check you out next sir.". I had spent a few minutes watching him interact with the last customer and I got a totally different treatment. I wasn't upset at the original cashier. She had pulled over a couple of boxes of printer paper and was using them as a chair so she wouldn't have to stand at the cash register. So, either she has some physical disability, or something else was going on, as I have never witnessed that before. But getting the bums rush, zero apology, it was time to let my check book do my talking. I left the items on the counter. What these employees didn't understand is that they only keep the lights on if they sell things. I didn't have an attitude. I wasn't disrespectful, to anyone in the store. I wasn't being a "Karen." I simply wanted to check out and get home. I wasn't buying a controller substance. I get it this is post covid and it's hard to get good employees. But on Amazon I can get #12 of the item for $2 less than six at Office Depot. The other item is $1 less. Why in the world would I not shop Amazon not only this time, but next...
Read moreI would have to say that many businesses in Spartanburg do not excel in customer service nor have respect for their product. An example of this was my last visit to this Office Depot/Max location. I arrived with a pdf of my mother-in-law's funeral program. They could not print my pdf without adding a border around the program. My pdf didn’t initially come with this border. I needed 100 copies printed with an additional 50 copies of an insert that went with the program (the insert paper was to be cut in half hence only 50). One of the employees attempted to resize the pdf but was not successful however continued printing the 100 programs before I could approve the final product. They also charged me for printing the insert, which was never printed. When I looked at my receipt after I left I was charged for 130 programs and 100 prints of the insert. I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t address the problem and left. $146.27 in the trash. I am sure if I go back maybe I could get refunded for the inserts but should Office Depot/Max advertise as providing prints if they aren't able to correctly print PDFs? May I suggest using Adobe InDesign for future customers. This will easily fix the issue with printing pdfs without adding a border. All I ask is for people to be kind and have respect for others and...
