UPDATE: Looking back at reviews for the last few years, customers have been mentioning the foul smell in the restaurant. At least 18 others besides myself have brought this up to staff/management or included it in their review. It appears management is not going to resolve, or is maybe unable to resolve. The issue is definitely affecting customers, which is affecting their business. Should not have been almost empty at lunch time. I dislike including negativity in a review, but I feel this needs to be addressed. I'm sure its an issue that can be resolved though. The moment I walked through the entrance, there was a very pungent odor that greeted me. It smelled quite sour, like filthy mop water. Maybe its even from spilled drinks on the carpet over time, but it nearly caused my fiancée and I to walk out. If a facility has a bad odor, it makes you question the quality of care put into everything else. The dining room appeared to be quite clean, same with the restrooms. I definitely enjoyed the decor, mood lighting and the bar set up. Our server Lorie M was an absolute pleasure, and took very good care of us. From the moment we sat down she was attentive, knowledgeable and very kind. The kind of service she provided is not easy to come by these days, definitely a valuable asset to have in the restaurant industry. The bread was delicious, served warm with butter on the side, definitely had a good flavor and crust. Always nice to receive bread before a meal, as we were quite famished. The food was fantastic, steaks were cooked perfectly to order. HOWEVER I had one small issue. If you are like myself, and you don't enjoy/consume much salt, or have medical issues with salt/sodium, I would highly suggest asking for no/little seasoning/butter on your steak. My partner loved his steak, but mine was quite overpowering, even after scraping as much as I could off with my kife. I feel the first flavor from a well seasoned steak before you get to the meat shouldn't be salt. Now it could have been the butter that caused it to become overwhelmingly salty as well. Thats my only complaint with the steaks. Asparagus were delicious! Same with the brussel sprouts, very generously sized, cooked to a perfect semi soft crunch, absolute fantastic. The smokey sauce served over the brussles definitely elevated the dish to a higher level. I would consider dining here again, but I can still smell that sour odor of the restaurant on my clothes. This definitely is an issue that I would love to see resolved before eating there again.

My husband took me to Longhorn in Spartanburg for dinner last night. We waited 20 minutes to get a table. That was pretty quick. Then our table was Nice & Clean. My husband didn't like the fact that the menus were a little dirty. Our servicer was named Shenna. She was more than great to us. She was on top of all of our needs. She had conversation with us. Shenna forgot our bread. But that didn't effect the review or her tip. My husband ordered the 22oz Longhorn plate with a loaded potato & seasoned rice. I ordered the 18oz T-Bone plate with Green Beans & Mash potatoes. My steak was cooked with perfection. My steak last night was honestly the best steak I've ever ever ate in my whole 30 years of life. I didn't like the side of Greenbeans because they tasted frozen & they were spiced with spicy seasoning. Miss.Shenna respectfully replaced them with another amazing side of Mash Potatoes. My husband & I ordered our steaks medium rare. Mine was cooked perfectly nice & juicy. My husband's was a little dry. Shenna our servicer again fixed the problem respectfully. We also ordered a Long Pour Strawberry Margarita & a Long Pour Mango Margarita. The nice Longhorn manager came over to our table & offered to bring us 2 margarita glasses because my husband & like to share our alcohol beverages together. We had a very peaceful & amazing dinner at Longhorn. When the restaurant was closing the friendly Longhorn Chief came over to our table to make sure my husband's second steak they prepared for him was at his liking. I highly recommend Longhorn in Spartanburg SC. I also recommend you recommending Shenna as your servicer. That girl was Respectful, very nice & professional at her job. She will most definitely make your whole experience very nice & pleasant. She will always be out Longhorn Servicer. My husband gave her a 40$ tip. THANK YOU MISS.SHENNA & LONGHORN💯

It's a rainy, messy night. And we had 1 gift card left over from Christmas. So, we decided to eat at Longhorn. We put our name on the wait-list. Approx 1 hour later, we were seated. Table 51. We gave our drink order & an appetizer. About 10 minutes later, we ordered dinner. Our salads arrived, first. Our appetizer finally arrived. Then, our dinner. The dirty dishes were not removed from the table, before our dinner was served. We were out of tea & our waitress was MIA. My husband finally got the attention of a bus-person (who was watching the Duke-Clemson game more than working) and he took the dirty dishes. He also told us our waitress was helping with a big party & "pretty stressed out". So were we. Try eating barbecue ribs with no drinks. We finally gave up & decided to just come home. Another 15 minutes later, we finally see our waitress ... get a to-go box ... pay ... and leave. The food was good. The service lousy as hell. Our mood after dinner was as bad as the weather. It's hard to shell out $100, under those circumstances! WE WON'T BE BACK!

Absolute horrendous experience. Longhorn is known as the best of the big box chain steakhouses. I chose Longhorn for my son's birthday and I ordered it to go so we could watch a movie at home while we ate it. Got there and was told they were "finishing it up" which made me think it was just coming off the grill and my wait was because they were packing it. The carryout waitresses looked like they wanted to punch everyone they saw in the face. They also seemed like the type of employees that if you approached them and said "why do you look like you want to punch everyone in the face" they would just look back and go "because I do". Like clearly no gaf at all. Then, surprise, I have never brought home colder food in my life. I don't even see how it was possible in the time that I ordered it for it to be cooked and to have even cooled down that much. I could have put it in the refrigerator right after it came out of the oven and it still couldn't have been that cold. The food was way less enjoyable because of that since microwaving steak and other meat toughens and ruins it. Paid way too much to be let down.

Longhorn also automatically assumed that I wanted to tip $15. Why would I tip to have my food prepared correctly? What am I tipping for I'm picking up the food myself it's not being served to me? I figured food preparation, which is literally all is happening here, was part of the food purchase package. So I'm assuming what you're implying here is if we want our food done correctly and on time we need to tip. I can just not play that game and go somewhere else. The fact you don't pay your workers properly and we have to end up paying their salary for you is exactly why AI is replacing all this; because in ten years if I have a choice between a restaurant where I have to tip a bunch of extra money just to have my food done correctly or a restaurant that is robotic, doesn't need the tip, and the food will be done perfectly without error and fast, I'm going to be going with that.

The greeter was nice though and was the only good part of the experience. Like I can't even say picking it up was easy because they are the only place I've been to recently that doesn't have a to-go door or it clearly defined map of what to do if you have it to go order. You have to kind of want her around aimlessly until someone finds you or you find someone and they tell you to kind of go sit in the corner of the bar. Even then you still don't know who to talk...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. We were a group of 4, it took a little while for the waitress to come and take our drink order. We went ahead and ordered 2 appetizers and entrees with salads. Finally our drinks come, then one appetizer, then we waited and waited. Next thing we know, someone else was coming and bringing our entrees. We told her we didn't get our second appetizer and salads yet. We told her to leave our food because we didn't want it to get cold and she got our second appetizer for us. Then our waitress finally comes and says she was waiting on FRESH salad. I said the other table already got their salads,( and they came after us). She acted like they were old.Does longhorn serve OLD salads? I'm not sure how long it takes to make a fresh salad, but I could have went to the store and made one faster than what we got ours. Our second appetizer finally arrives but we are not really wanting it because of how late it is but take it. As for our meals, my husband never got his salad, after asking twice for it. My daughter asked for RARE steak and received it WELL. My sister asked for a loaded baked potato and received it plain. Out of all that my sister did get another potato. We never were brought refills until the manager gave my sister some water. The waitress finally came around after we said something to the manager but was afraid to ask for anything because of how long everything took. The manager said she would take of the appetizers off and give us a discount for our terrible service. Well, my sister got her appetizer for free and a discount, and her appetizer came on time. (She paid separate) She just gave us a 25% family discount. That barely covered my daughter's steak that she did not eat! And I was still charged for our appetizer, that did not get eaten. I'm sorry but for that ALFUL EXPERIENCE, we should have got a discount for the appetizer, my daughter's steak and my husband's salad he never got. We didn't even eat our salad because of how late they came out. I think the "discount" we got shows they didn't care. I couldn't even eat my meal I was so upset. It will be a long time until we go back there, but...
