I was really disappointed in my experience at this olive garden. I went out with my two children and their dad (who had never been to an olive garden) so of course I was talking them up because I normally have a great experience at the one closer to my place (CDA). Well we waited a really long time for our food for it to get to the table cold. I started eating my chicken and shrimp carbonara when I noticed a sticker in my food. So I politely told the waitress that there was a sticker in my food and she gave me a look that rubbed me the wrong way. The sticker was clearly off of a bell pepper so I wasn't extremely upset but I was paying $25 for my plate of food so I wanted a plate that was sticker free. After she took my plate back to the kitchen to be inspected she came back and apologized and said they were making me a new plate. By the time my food was finished my whole family was done eating and you know how kids are, they can't sit still too long. So I had to take mine to go. When I got my bill I was a little taken back that I didn't get any sort of discount at least on my meal because I didn't get to eat with my family and the waitress was extremely rude. Our salad was also drenched in dressing to the point of being soggy and our bread sticks were very salty. I wouldn't recommend this location. The drive to CDA is definitely worth the quality of food and the better staff. Coming from someone who works in the food industry, take it from me! The table next to us got a drink spilled on them and they were almost charged for that drink. A long island tea, I believe. They were already having a bad experience after they were told there wasn't a military discount. I wasn't the only one who didn't have the best experience and at...
Read moreIt's definitely not the best, and while I understand that things have changed for Covid, the changes that they have made to the menu are ridiculous. Of course, I have no idea if it was mandated at a corporate level or not, I just know that there are no salads on the menu, whatsoever. They used to have a decent amount, but the section isn't even there anymore, and it looks like you have no selection outside of the endless salad antipasto style. I could tell that one of our servers for our rather large party was new, and wasn't quite used to clearing tables very quickly, even though we were stacking plates in a general area in order to make it easier on her. That was obviously a little unappealing. The other server was fine, but he spent more time being personable and schmoozing with us, and it meant that we didn't get all of our orders taken care of in a timely manner.
Overall, I can't really recommend going to this, or any Olive Garden, quite frankly. People have jokingly referred to it as the Denny's of Italian food for the better half of a couple decades, but this definitely sealed it for me. And if you need any gluten-free options, this definitely is not it. There were two, total, as far as entrees. And there was one gluten-free pasta option. You would think in this era there would be a few more, since gluten-free pastas have gotten a lot better, but most restaurants don't bother; and they are no exception. The only good thing to note is that their prices haven't jumped as much as other restaurants in the wake of the economic shift we have faced. That's the only plus I can really note. Otherwise, it was pretty pedestrian and the selection is diminished. Not worth the...
Read moreSo, I wanted to go to dinner and was very hesitant after the last time we were here, which was New Year's Eve, and we had a horrible server then; my sauce was split. but last night made up for all of it. We were at table 208 had Jesus G as our server and he was amazing i swear he checked on us every 5 minutes, he made sure our drinks were always full, made sure we had more soup, salad , my partner and our kids has the endless pasta and I had the chicken and shrimp carbonara with added broccoli. he made sure to always keep their pastas going. I am someone who watch's all the servers and I was able to watch Jesus get another table some wine, he ended up pulling out 3 wine glass's because he was checking the glass's for spots and the 3rd one was to his liking and then took the wine and the glass to the table that he was helping, a few minutes latter I watched as another server just pulled 2 glass's out then pour the wine, not even checking the glass's for spots or anything in or in them. Jesus was the best server I have ever had at any place i have ever gone to, I really hope that he gets permoted to head server or even front of house manger he is very friendly even with my youngest. I am on crutches and a bit annoyed that we did not end up with a table closer to the door but, having Jesus as a server 100% made up for that. I told my partner that I wished that I had cash on me I would have left him a cash tip on top of the tip on the one when...
