I really wanted to love this place. I’ve been a regular customer at Perk for quite a while now, and when the drinks are made right, they’re excellent — especially the peanut butter and chocolate blended drink, which is my go-to.
But the problem is consistency, or rather, the lack of it. One barista in particular, (Gracie) never seems to make the drink correctly — the flavor’s off, the texture is wrong, and it’s clearly not the same quality I get from other staff. I’ve tried to politely bring this up, but instead of addressing the issue, I feel like I’ve been treated as the problem for simply speaking up. That’s not how customer service should work.
When I’m paying good money for something I enjoy, I shouldn’t have to gamble on who’s making it or brace myself for pushback when I ask for it to be done right. I’m not looking to cause drama — I just want the drink I’ve always ordered to be made the way it’s supposed to be.
Until the consistency improves — and the management shows they care more about getting it right than defending poor service — I won’t be going out of my way...

His gentle compassion was clear and the world needs more places like perk.
