First off.. Awful human beings, using terrible brewing practices. Mismanagement of funds, and disregard for workings of their other spaces and an over all disregard for the people in the common area. The owners are absolutely unhinged, and aggressive that have nothing else to reach for, so they turn to ignorance. They have on multiple occasions been physically and verbally confrontational (borderline assault) and have been threatening with words and actions. I could get into theory’s of why they have lasted for 9 years but I can say 5 of them they have been just sucking on the teet of the partner location who created an incredible product and space. They have recently let that partner go without any real or tangible reason. Sit, drink, but don’t support them. This is what’s wrong with local business owners. They are scared and angry, and will do anything to get a perceived victory.
Oh the beer? Sorry Butter, overly malted, old musky socks. Old beer, infected and gross.
As someone who gets beer, I will always want our local people to succeed. But black label is the last...
Read moreVery good beer conveniently located in the Saranac Commons off a trendy street (W Main Ave) where there is plenty of retail shops and restaurants. The Saranac commons an artistic, open-concept building that hosts Common Crumb Artisan Bakery, Mediterrano, Caffé Affogato and of course - Black Label Brewery,
Head to the back of the building upon entering and you will find Black Label. The open air common-area space has no defining breaks between the business and tht allows for a much more welcoming inviting area. The Brewery has a bar top, table top and floor seating that acts as a general seating area for patrons of all the business.
Their bar top seating is is a bit small and will accommodate about 6 peoples. They have 20 draft taps so the variety is good. The atmosphere is relaxing and not pretentious. The bartender was friendly, courteous, attentive and welcoming. It was an enjoyable experience, no craft beer snobbery at this place! Their beer is good and I would regularly come here if I lived...
Read morePopped in for support local Saturday and as I was waiting for food decided to grab a drink to support another local spot. Guy at the counter was great and as I’m not much of a beer drinker, went with the cider. Now I can be a little picky with cider but I didn’t really care if I liked it=keeping local rolling. So he packed it up to-go and I headed home. And quite to my surprise THIS IS THE BEST CIDER I HAVE EVER HAD! Again, not doing the beer thing, I drink a fair amount of cider at local places. For a first time customer I was impressed and will absolutely be back. Especially for brunch on Sundays with fresh squeezed mimosa (3-4) fresh each week. Can’t wait to try it out once things open back up again. Thanks for the very tasty...
