Located off of the right lane/ southbound traffic on North Division Street, lies a lesser known burger joint that's to die for. D-lish's is a family run place that dates back a couple of decades. With the original items on the menu, still to date. I had a double cheeseburger w/ fries, a side of fry-dipping sauce, and a small strawberry milkshake. First, the shake. Phenomenal is the best one word to describe it. It had all the markings of what a great milkshake should consist of. Actual minced up strawberries, thick consistency, and wonderful flavor. Next, the fries. Although they are shoestring (steak fries are my favorite), they were hot and fresh. Sometimes I feel this is a lost concept in the fast-food world. The dipping sauce, nothing special, is made daily and complemented the fries really well. And finally, the burger... I'd like to mention that when it comes to burgers, I am a stickler on quality. I will say that it has been around a good calendar year or more since I have had a "great" burger. The double-cheese I ate was incredible. The proverbial, "greasy-classic", this sandwich had it all. From thick, all-beef patties. To hardy, conformed the burger, melted cheese. And fresh vegetables to match. This burger had it all. If it helps, I went through drive-thru at around 6:00 pm on a Friday. My d-thru ticket time (from the time my order was taken to the moment they hand me my food) was around 6-7 minutes with 2 cars ahead of me. The price came to $14. Thank you D-lish's for a...
Read moreWe used to love coming here but this sadly is our last visit. The customer service has simply bottomed out. We have been loyal over the many years and especially during covid where we endured the extra long drive through lines all in the effort to keep this local business afloat. Now, we pretty much don't care if they survive or not because they've forgotten how to provide excellent customer service. We were in more than an HOUR before close but were told that since they closed in about an hour, it to go only. WHAT?!?!? Can't eat in at 6:00??? That's crazy! While we were waiting in the lobby for our to go order, THREE MORE groups came in--two didn't bother ordering and one apparently went to the drive through. That's nuts! People are there to spend their hard earned money and you run them off because you don't want to wipe a few tables in the dining room?!? I'm sure the namesake of this place is rolling over in his grave! What's worse, as we sat at the back of the lot eating and observing, we saw FOUR more groups go to the (now locked) doors while their lobby was still ostensibly & supposed to be OPEN!! None, BTW queued up for the drive through!! Jeepers Cripes! At $30 ticket average for 6 groups of 2, you let almost $200 walk away!! Yeah, sorry not sorry D...
Read moreI drive by every day on the way home from work. Decided to give it a try so here we go....
First time we ordered the basic double burger. They were pretty good, not the best in Spokane but a good burger. I ended up eating two of them while the wife had one. We both agreed we would go again. Not go out of our way to got to have it but on the way home sure why not.
Fast forward a month, wife is at dinner with her friends so I figured what the heck. I went through the drive thru this time. Saw the "Monster? 4 meat and 4 cheese. Asked for all toppings, grilled and fresh onions. I have to say I was disappointed.
The 3 pieces of meat (missing on piece) had no seasoning, tasted like it was boiled, the only topping I received was lettuce and a small dot of sauce.
I order the large combo, fries were fresh and hot. Drink I ordered "Coke or Pepsi which ever you have". I was quickly corrected "You want a Pepsi" which I shrugged off. The large was the same side as everyone else's med. For $16.75 I thought I would at least get the correct order and a bigger drink.
Overall customer service was good, food was fresh and hot. Willing to try it again but it might be...
