What a great dining experience! My Mom, and a family with kids, who are close to my family, went to David's Pizza for lunch after CHRISTMAS TREE ELEGANCE. This was my first time eating David's Pizza. The environment was really laid back and cool with good music played at the perfect volume. I'm starting to make the " music volume" an important point in my reviews because when my family dines out with my Dad, who is hard of hearing, it's beginning to be frustrating to have to repeat what we say over and over, and saddens me when I watch him respond inappropriately during conversations, just to be part of the conversation, just because he is embarrassed about his hearing issue. I have observed how he interacts in many different environments, and when we go to places that you don't have to speak in a high volume, and the music isn't too loud to have a normal conversation, the whole experience of going out to eat.... Is so much more enjoyable. Sorry for the tangent, but I felt like it was necessary to point out my reason for including atmosphere volume as a measurable part of each review from this point on. I hope this is helpful for some people out there when making a choice about where they are going to eat. Alright then, ONWARD..... The building is a really cool location, there is even a firetruck there, that is used for parties when they deliver. As I mentioned, we had another family out to lunch with us this day, so a 15 year old girl and 8 year old boy were with us. They didn't get bored and enjoyed looking around at all the pictures and different things they can maybe consider entertaining. There are also TVs throughout the restaurant, I'm not sure what usually plays, but sports played the day we were there, with appropriate volume, I might add. The service was excellent, we were greeted immediately after seating ourselves, and brought us drinks within 5 min of us sitting down. She was also the bartender, so she is on top of her game handling so many different tables and people sitting at the bar. The menu has many options other than pizza. There are other "PIZZA-ISH" items that most pizza places also have. Such as, calizone' s, pasta dishes, etc., non pizza entrees, salads, kids menu, and desert's. We ordered a veggie pizza, a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and Hawaiian pizza. All of us were very happy with how delicious the food is, and really love the crust. To me, crust of pizza makes it or breaks it. There is no such thing as good pizza with bad crust. David's Pizza has actual " perfect" crust. The price point wasn't what I would consider high or low. It was average, with above average food. I will definitely be returning and telling others to head to David's Pizza, the experience was completely positive. I can't even think of anything that needs improvement or more focus needed for improving anything. I hope this helps anyone out there who trying to make a choice on where to dine. Thanks for looking to my experience to help out in your...
Read moreFour of us ladies went here last night. The bar was packed. So we got sat in the restaurant area. Which was fine. Only one other table. Took forever to get menus.
Food: After inquiring how big the salads were, because we told the waitress we wanted to split it, she stated they were pretty good size but for 4 people, we should get 2. So we ordered 2 salads to split. They were $10.50 each. When we got them, a gal, not our waitress, came, and without a word or any eye contact plopped down 2 VERY SMALL dinner salads, 2 forks and walked away. We had no forks for 2 of us, no napkins, and no extra plates. Nobody came back. I had to go find someone, a long dark haired young lady at the resister. I questioned the size of the salads for $10.50. She quickly pulled out a menu, pointed to what we ordered, and snidly said, 'Yep! ide salads. That's what you ordered!', put the menu down and started to walk away. I had to catch her to ask for napkins, more forks and plates. She said she would ask someone to get us some. She could have. As she was NOT busy. Also, we didn't order 'side' salads. They don't have 'side' salads on the menu. FINALLY our waitress came and gave us some plates, etc...When our waitress spotted our VERY SMALL salads, she said, 'WOW! Those were made SMALL!'. We told her we were wondering for $10.50 if that was normal, that we had asked and were told they were. She said that is NOT normal and brought us another, 3rd, small salad. Okay, that was fine. Pizza was good.
Service: Our actual waitress was great! Wish I could remember her name to give her props. However, we literally had to ask for everything. Salt and pepper, pepper flakes, more drinks, napkins, forks, plates....etc... The gal with the long dark hair at the register should be fired. Very rude and snotty. No customer service skills what so ever.
To Davids Pizza....when customers walk in your door, they expect good, KIND, knowledgeable customer service. Of which the dark haired gal had none of. Do yourself a favor.
So, mixed reviews here. Unfortunately, not sure we...
Read moreFemale Bartender was very rude and discriminated against my boyfriend and I. I am so disturbed and disappointed no staff intervened.
My partner and I were here yesterday. I was with a group of colleagues celebrating the end of the school year. After our celebration was over, I walked over to the bar to meet my partner who had been watching the basketball game while I was with my colleagues. I was asked for my ID and without hesitation pulled my valid state ID to the female bartender. She responded rudely by saying my ID wasn’t valid. I looked at her in shock because it’s a state issued ID. She never even grabed my ID to verify she simply didn’t want me there. She told me I had to move. My partner and I proceeded by looking for another place to move. He asked the bartender for help with our food without being rude in anyway and she rudely said “You can grab it yourself”. My partner was so upset at her rude response Especially because he had purchased around $50.00 in food and drinks. My partner had made his way with his drink to another table and couldn’t believe she had responded in that way. I was in shock, I grabbed the plates and food from the bar table and moved them to where my partner was at. The other staff who noticed what the bartender had done simply said “there was nothing they can do”. We decided to leave the restaurant and I was very disappointed with how we were treated. Especially because we both had purchased a significant amount of food and Did not receive an apology. My partner later explained to me that she had been rude to him from the beginning of her service. Throughout the entire thing I was not rude to her nor did I make any rude remarks; So her behavior was very inappropriate. I would encourage the bartender to revaluate her professional lense. I hope future costumers won’t have to experience this. I have decided never to eat at David’s because of this...
