The location and the overall esthetic of the restaurant was great, but where they fell short was customer service and food quality.

My wife and I waited 20 minutes just to get glasses of water (those were also the only glasses of water we got for the hour and a half that we were there) and the dining room was not busy at all.

The server was nice enough but it was clear that she had not had a lot of experience in restaurants. She took a very long time to bring anything to the table, and like I said it was not busy. When she brought my sister in law her drink, all you could taste was salt. We put the drink at the end of the table hoping she would ask about it when she walked by, but didn't notice it for about a half hour even though she had been to the table twice. When we told her it was salty, her response was "Weird, I followed the recipe". To her credit, she did take it off the bill.

When the food arrived everyone in our party got their food but my wife and I because it was missed. I do realize this happens sometimes, but having that compile onto everything else was disappointing. Another server did comp us those meals, which is good because both of our mushroom stroganoffs were disgustingly salty. What they gave us was not a stroganoff but a cream based sauce that I would whip up on a lazy Wednesday night. My father in laws pulled pork sandwich was cold, not pulled (had big chunks) and seemed like it had been cooked a few days ago. He said, and I quote, "The best part of the meal was the Coke". Not one person in our party (there were six of us) enjoyed our meals.

When you are charging as much as you do, you should have staff and food quality on point, especially...

We were very excited to try Hunt. Atmosphere is very cool, uncomfortable stools bolted to the ground are not. The menu looked delicious and we were hungry. A waiter arrived at our table with the wrong food and when we declined it, he said, must be the wrong table, didn’t look at the ticket. Okay, no problem, right? When our food came, one of the plates was wrong, even though the waitress said what was ordered. When we pointed out it was wrong, she was like, SO. And just stared at us. Two more times she was told it was the incorrect dish and she didn’t move, finally we relented and took what she brought. Food was good. My husbands meatloaf was delicious!!!! At the send of the meal, 1 check was brought for 4 people. We were together at a table, but arrived separately and one couple ordered drinks and an appetizer before we even arrived. We asked for a two checks and she said she would split if we gave her two credit cards. When we wanted to pay cash, she said she didn’t have enough money to take cash. What??!!! Finally, two checks arrive and guess what, split down the middle. We’d had enough! We paid and left. The atmosphere is cool, the food is good, and our waitress was bad....

I'm really loving the aesthetic of old Spokane building's basements being opened up and turned into speakeasy-like restaurants. This one's especially cool with the dramatic lighting hidden in the rafters.

It wasn't busy when I went on a Thursday afternoon, and the bartender was very attentive. They have a mocktail option for those who aren't drinking alcohol, I thoroughly enjoyed the spring buck.

For appetizers my wife and I got pickle plates off the happy hour menu, we saw them go out to another table and they weren't that large, and both of us love pickles so we didn't want to share. But this item is a must.

For dinner I had the pork shoulder and my wife had the duck, I would say that the portions are pretty small, but the prices do reflect the smaller portions. The duck was perfect, and my pork shoulder was wonderfully seasoned, but just a little dry.

Wish we could have stayed for dessert, but we had to leave in a hurry to catch a show.

I'll recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet trendy location to take a friend or a date to enjoy some drinks, and a few...

The food here is interesting with more of a Wild game entree menu. The aesthetics of the place is warm with a lot of exposed rough wood ceilings and floors. The stools are lagged into the floor with small round wood tops which provide a great bleacher butt experience. The tables are small and not wide enough to provide a comfortable eating surface. Overall the environment is charming and comfortable but the seating is not. They provide a nice list of unique crafted cocktails which are pleasantly delicious! The food portions are small and not what you would expect for an entree type meal. I tried the wild boar schnitzel which was okay but heavily salted. Two drinks and an entree cost around $50.00 including the automatic 18% gratuity for groups of 6 and up. I found that pretty odd as it’s usually for groups of 8 and up in the restaurant industry. Overall give it a try since it’s new and I expect the quality and service to pick up as the kinks are worked out.

My beau and I were invited to celebrate a double birthday last Saturday night. The girls chose Hunt for dinner and we loved every second of it. The rotating menu was intriguing and delicious. The drinks had fun names with unique flavors. We were sat in the "tent" and enjoyed it very much. The privacy was nice for our loud mouths. The aura was very nice, with soft mood lighting using old fashioned Edison bulbs. I really liked the decor in the restaurant. Everything was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fine dining experience with a more casual feel. Be prepared to spend some money because great food isn't cheap. Make a reservation and be sure to be early enough to have the option of each entree. Some menu items sell out fast.
