Just ate here today 1/11/25, my wedding anniversary, maybe about 30 to 40 minutes ago. I don't normally leave reviews seeing how I never feel like they're needed. A place is either good or bad. This place managed to piss me off a little. Especially how our bill was $180. To be fair, I am only going to point out the things that they did wrong. Because I know there are some simple things I should have asked or even said that could have helped. So here we go.
When the waiter found out he had been to a steakhouse before, he glossed over the cost and the way food was cooked. That said, I could have asked for clarification on cost per person and did not. It is also displayed on the menu. So for me, this is on both sides.
It was hard to hear the staff who had to speak at a higher volume even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. My wife could barely hear me and she was sitting right across from me. At first, I thought it was just us. Before hearing waiters having to shout over the noise to talk to other customers. The odd thing is there wasn't any music I could hear playing and again not even half of the place was full.
This is the one that really gets me. The food was mediocre at best. If it didn't taste bland it was ok, but the leg of lamb for some reason tasted like fish. But none of the meat that was brought out had any fish or crustaceans. Found out later that there was shrimp being cooked right next to or above where the leg of lamb was. When I told the waiter, he seemed concerned at first and then when we told him we didn't have any allergies to seafood, he sighed a breath of relief and just walked off. When we asked for dessert, it took way too damn long to get. After 15 minutes our dessert came out. My wife asked for the chocolate mousse cake and I asked for the warm molten cake. Well, they were apparently out of the mousse cake and thought "instead of asking the person who wanted the mousse cake if she would like something else. Let's just bring her the same thing as her husband and keep telling them it's the same thing as the mousse cake.". I don't know about you but even the worst restaurants I have been to have even ask if I wanted something else because they were out. For one reason or another my Molten cake was barely lukewarm but my wife's was scolding hot. The Cakes tasted plain and store-bought. They charged us 11.50 and 12.50 for the desserts. For those prices, every everything on that plate (save the ice cream) should have been made in-house. Not even a comp for one. Meats were dry, bland, and cross-contamination was clearly ignored.
As for the drinks I had to tell the waiter twice that I wanted an ice tea. They also kept pushing the drink menu. FYI looking at what they had was about the same as any bar just upcharged. Also regular water was never offered. It was spring or sparkling. I took that as their base. As this would make sense given the price per person was 67 bucks. So we were charged for two bottles of water.
At the end of it all our waiter just stopped giving a shit about us after he got a bigger table and our table was avoided like we didn't exist. The meat runners were great about making sure to always stop by the table when your tag showed you were ready for meats.
Sorry for the long review but like I said I never really leave a review but this place pissed me off enough to do this. But please make sure to know one person's experience is not the same as everyone. If you like it, great, if you feel the same as me or other them, please make sure to say so.
Just saw a review from a month ago where there price per person was 42 something. When I went in with my wife it was 67..... the hell.. that is a 25 dollar increase...
Read moreCame for a Friday night dinner with some friends and had a good time, but was not extremely impressed.
Pros: (most important thing) Meat came at a good cadence for the most part and was hot/tasted good. Picahna, my favorite, was excellent. Quality of some other cuts were probably a smidgen lower than most other Churrascarias I've been to, but overall good. Their wine list was very reasonably priced. The mark ups seemed to be very low. Service was quite attentive cheesy puffs (pao de queijo) were great and being at the buffet instead of served to a table meant we could grab some whenever we wanted. The pineapple here (with cinnamon sugar) was great. I can't recall if I've had that at other Brazilian steakhouses, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Cons: in one word: Ambiance. PLEASE consider dimming the lights for dinner service; it was so bright that it felt less like a nice restaurant and more like a cafeteria. What other fancy restaurant is as bright as day for dinner? In my opinion, it makes the salad bar less appealing seeing everything so brightly lit. Hopefully this part is just because the restaurant is new and will be amended in the future. Also the fact that the TV at the bar was just playing a windows screensaver seemed a little off? The fact that the restaurant is huge but full of small 4 person square tables also adds to a less than fancy feel. Did not like the very heavy, metal welded chairs (a child knocked one over while we were there and almost got crushed). Quite uncomfortable and while they're personalized for the restaurant, again, hasve a cheaper feel (even though I'm sure they weren't cheap). I would normally never comment on this but for $100 / person I would like to be comfortable. While the service was generally good, our server did come up two or three times basically pushing dessert on us and implicating that we were finished when we hadn't even turned our cards to red! It made it feel like she was trying to get us out of there (not used to that). I don't know if financially there's an incentive to get customers out before the 90 minute mark or something, but it dampened the overall mood to have to repeatedly insist we were not done (again... that's kind of what the red/green cards are for?).
Overall - If I could do split stars, I'd give a 3.5 but since they're new I'll round up. Happy that Spokane has a Brazilian Steakhouse. It's a fun experience (especially for someone who has never done it). I think this one has a bit to improve on, primarily around the environment. I might return if reviews stay positive. but I'm inclined to just wait until I'm in a bigger city with a more established...
Read moreBoiada Brazilian Grill in Riverstone CDA So yesterday My Husband and I visited Boiada Brazilian Grill in Riverstone in CDA for our 6 year Anniversary. Here is My honest review... As we walked in, it seemed very elegant. To our surprise they only had about 3 tables filled. One being the owners. My Husband got the all you can eat meat experience meal, I believe it was $60s. I went with their petite meal $40. Which all meals have access to their Salad bar and mine came with 1 meat of choice; in which I choose Shrimp. As we were instructed to go ahead and go to the salad bar and soup and help yourselves. So we did so, near the salad bar I found some white rice... So I got me a scoop along with a small salad and few pieces of cheese. We went back to our table just in time for all the meats to start coming out. One by one there were servers coming out with different types of meats... As I ate the rice, I noticed instantly it was Ice Cold, I figured because it was kinda near the salad bar? It continued to bother me though... So I finally asked our server; in which she told us NO IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE COLD. I immediately apologized for sounding rude, but the white rice was extremely cold. Then I asked for a small bowl of hot rice please! Just then My Husband started his second round of meats... And this time around, he noticed his chicken thigh WAS NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!! You could see immediately that it was raw pink in the middle. Real bummer, as for the chicken thighs were one of My Husband's favorite meats! When the server came around again ..I made sure to instantly bring it to her attention; because someone could get terribly ill from eating Raw Chicken!!! Once we got our bill, the Manager Pablo came by and apologized to us about the rice. He didn't mention the Chicken though... So I made sure to bring it to his attention. Well the guy was nice enough to take off $8s from our $120 dollar order. And also to make sure we come back and visit; by offering us a free meal next time we come in. That's if we even decide to come back. Overall the Rice was My absolute favorite and the Linguiça, Lombo de Porco com Queijo, and Pineapple were My Husbands! I'd give this place a 5 out of 10. Simply because undercooked/ raw chicken is uncalled for in any restaurant... And then the cold rice. The servers were top notch and we definitely loved the atmosphere and...
