I had a terrible time yesterday. I came in to get my free giant sub i had enough points for and i was initially helped by who i believed was the manager. She was not friendly and did not have a cheerful attitude and when i went to order i told her that i wanted my giant cut in half and i wanted it to be made in two seperate ways becaise i was sharing it with someone. She was very confused by my simple request and kept thinking thought that i was ordering two seperate sandwiches and couldn't understand that it was one sandwich cut in half. Then she asked my mother what she wanted on her half and barked infront of all the other customers when my mother pulled her mask down briefly to make herself clear and told her to wear it correctly before she could even say a word. Not to mention when i asked fir oil and vinegar another employee drowned my sandwich with both and it was falling apart by the tine i was home. If someone pulls their mask down to order clearly for just a few seconds it is not the duty of employees to be mask police. As a barista, i get people that do it all the time and that is why i am prepared with my own mask and plastic shield so that i can have a safe environment for other customers. Employees have a higher chance of getting sick from coworkers than customers because they are 2 feet from each other behind a...
Read moreTo start, the sandwich itself was pretty tasty and delicious. However, the atmosphere and customer service were lacking.
I waited a few minutes before being helped (no other customers were present). I was very surprised that the food prep counter was so filthy, and there was no barrier between my bread and the fifth of crumbs and whatever else on the dirty counter. I watched the girl slice a large loaf into halves, start to grab the larger half, then change her mind and slice open the smaller half for my sandwich. It was nice that the cheese and turkey were freshly sliced, but there was no cleaning of the machine before or between slicing the meat and the dairy. Once my sandwich was wrapped, it was shoved into a paper bag, which ripped and then was handed to me anyway. They didn't offer me a receipt, so I don't have an order number to reference.
As far as customer service, the staff who helped me was not rude, but not friendly either. Could very well have had the same experience dealing with an automated robot instead of a person.
This was my first and probably last experience going to a Jersey Mike's because it was a hell of a lot of money to pay for mostly lettuce, poor customer service, and dirty food...

In case you were under the impression that I do not write unbiased reviews -- or that this place is a good place to eat, well - maybe reading further will help you change your mind, (maybe not) - but it's worth a shot. I ordered food for my girlfriend from this place, and it was extremely soggy. I had ordered the giant tuna sandwich. As soon as I took it out of the bag, it looked like it had been chucked into lake Michigan and soaked up water like a sponge. The bottom of the sandwich was soaked; not kidding. I haven't tasted it myself yet, and I don't want to. The taste and texture was described as just soggy and other texture, with no flavors jumping out at all; completely bland, with the occasional crunch of celery; a soggy mushy mess. My girl said she doesn't even hate it, and is disappointed that she doesn't -- that there was no flavor at all. My girl rates 2 stars for 'tolerable.' 'It just exists - a wet, sad mess.' 'The celery brings it down.' 'I've never eaten at Jersey Mike's before today, and I don't intend to ever eat there again'.
