Zip's Drive In — Restaurant in Spokane

I usually don’t go to this zips just because the service is bad, the employees are rude, and they can never hear or get an order correct! I don’t usually post reviews either but my last experience here just keeps playing on over and over so I felt it only necessary to post a review. So I went there with my daughter to get a ice cream cone the half and half with a waffle cone. Some employees will give a little treat of chocolate sauce in the bottom of the waffle cone, so I have gotten a little spoiled for this tasty treat for when I crave ice cream. So when I placed my order I specifically asked for them to add the chocolate, to which I was told they are not supposed to do it unless the customer asked. So I figured since I brought it up they’d know that’s what I wanted. The lady told me “We are not supposed to do that unless the customer asks and pays for it.” To which she never made sure to clarify if I was going to pay for it or not. I figured she knew that’s what I wanted since I mentioned it. They did not add the chocolate sauce and the ice cream cone was super super soft and melts!!!! I love zips I’ve cream and food but I will never never take my business to this zips again thank god their is another one just down the road...

One of the most run down Zip's in Spokane. Staff was friendly but I almost choked when we ordered 2 small combos and it was just shy of $21.00! Prefilled cups of tartar were in a large container sitting on the counter by the pop machine--and were NOT cold. They weren't refrigerated or on ice. Tartar sauce isn't supposed to be kept at room temp or warm!--huge disappointment since Zip's tartar is one of the main reasons we go. Turned out not to be an issue because the tartar tasted like straight up mayo-- how can you call this Zip's tartar? The dining area is dingy and dated and needs repairs everywhere you look. Peeling wallpaper and dirty/stained ceiling tiles. The burgers were ok but seemed smaller than usual. Fries were really good--but that was the only thing we ordered that lived up to the Zip's name. Should have driven a little farther to a different (and better) location--we won't be going back to this one. When you see a Zip's sign it would be nice to go in and get some consisentcy--but wow, they are definitely hit and miss depending on which...

Went there today. Asked what the specials were and was told that a bacon double meal for $5 was one of them. My wife and I ordered two, the cashier didn't ask us what we wanted for drinks, he overcharged us and then gave us the correct change, the food took way too long. The cashier seemed too distracted by the FACT that they had to not only take orders for the window, but also for the counter. When we got our meals home, we discovered they were bacon burgers, but they were regular bacon burgers and they had lettuce, tomato and mayo on them. There was no receipt in the bag, so we couldn't prove what we actually bought. This is not the first time this has happened. If the owner is reading this, I suggest you change the employee set up you currently have. We will not be going to this location again.
