Wendy's — Restaurant in Spring Township

This evening I ordered two "deals". The new employee entering the orders was totally confused, and asked for assistance from an experienced employee. That was okay. I'm still not sure I got any discounts on the "Feed the Fam" deal, because the receipt is almost illegible, and there was no price posted on the web site portion of this deal. While placing my order, I saw the rack of cookies, and a blue sign that promised cookies for $0.99 instead of $1.49 each. The rookie looked confused, but he literally picked up the sign and acknowledged 99 cent price. While waiting for my food, I looked at the receipt and saw cookies at full price. I brought this to his attention, and he again called over the experienced person. I showed her the wrong price on the cookies. She looked at the sign, and said I did not get the price because I had not ordered the proper deal. Now, keep in mind, I bought $30 worth of deals. I argued that he should have told me I was not getting the discount. Manager's response, "He's new!". To me, if he sees 99 cents but charges $1.49, the customer should be told. He also should have asked how to override the list price. He did none of that. Now, about the order. My order included two spicy chicken sandwiches. These were totally overdone, so badly I could not bite through them. They would have also forgotten my Frosty, had I not reminded them it was missing. I have been disappointed at this Wendy's in the past. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. This was worthy of ZERO stars. The food was bad. The attitude was bad. Overall just bad/awkward experience. I went through the drive through around 11 pm today (11/16/23) and I had to repeat my order 4 times to the man taking my order. No biggie I know hearing with those headsets are horrible. But when I asked for spicy nuggets I heard someone in the background of the guy talking to me groaning and saying “god come on” they let me know it would be a wait for the spicy nuggets which I said was fine but I felt bad because they didn’t seem happy that they had to make the order. I pull up to the window, and they took a little longer than normal to process my payment. While I waited for my food, 4 employees came up to the window and was aggressively flirting with me, trying to get me with the manager working. They kept telling me how beautiful I was and how the manager wanted my number. I was flattered but I declined because of being in a relationship and they kept pushing and saying “well he could be your side piece” and a bunch of inappropriate things as well. I can tell the manager/employee they were talking about was getting embarrassed but he kept calling the 3 other employees “stupid hoes” while they all joked around and loudly swore at each other. It was a very awkward experience for me where I’m at the point that I don’t want to go back due to how inappropriate and pushy they were being with me. I’m not from this area but I was in town visiting a friend. Saturday night we were out shopping and wanted to get something to eat. We decided to stop at this Wendy’s to go in and eat. The doors were locked. It was 7:30pm no sign on the door to say drive thru only. I assumed they were short staffed. I waited in the drive thru 20 minutes until ordering. They were not busy. They said they were out of bacon. So we got our food without the bacon no big deal. I get to the window there’s at least 8 workers inside pretty much standing around. We get our burgers and fries to eat immediately after. Fries were okay. When I went to eat my burger I was cold on the outside. Being so hungry I ripped my burger in half to see if the middle was hot and took a few bites. It was cold as well but I was starving. Did not taste good, it must have been sitting. Don’t be fooled by the warm wrapper. After driving around a bit more about to head home my stomach got violently upset and it made me throw up. Thank god I still had the Wendy’s bag to throw up in. I will never come to this Wendy’s again. I’m sharing this so if someone else has a similar experience with their food cold to not eat it. It’s the next morning and my stomach still hurts.
