Well... ouch. The pictures are deceiving.
We arrived at 6:45 pm and were the only ones there, that should have been a red flag but we love Picannia and we're hopeful. They charge by the pound on anything you get, we only wanted a few sides and wanted mainly the meat. All the sides looked like they had been sitting out for 4 or more hours and they tasted like it too. The meat, their main attraction, we only wanted the top sirloin and we couldn't even get the Picannia because they were all basically burned beyond well done through the core. Like wow, lol, they looked like an oilfield workers boot. We settled with the other cut of top sirloin and were able to at least get a few cuts that were somewhat medium rare but again, several hours old on the skewer. We should have looked at the meat 1st b4 we had selected the few sides otherwise we wouldn't of even eaten there. They were slow and not going through the meat fast enough i guess which is how it was all ruining, but when they aren't busy they should have a system in place to preserve the meat and not make it taste like absolute crap..
The staff was kind and could tell she was embarrassed by the meat even herself, the atmosphere was nice as well, but damn, their main attraction, the meat, Luby's...
Read moreCAUTION: In line with other unfavorable reviews, we regrettably encountered similar condescension from the proprietor of this establishment.
We don't typically write reviews, unless a place is truly deserving. Unfortunately, this restaurant deserves a negative one.
As food business owners ourselves who appreciate exploring new dining options, we have never faced such disrespectful treatment from a restaurant, particularly from the owner. While my partner was preparing his plate from the buffet and sampled a small portion of his food (from his own plate, on the way to pay for it), the owner abruptly yelled at him for this action. It seems that consuming your own food while in line is not permitted, a fact the owner could have communicated politely, referencing the SNHD regulation. Instead, he chose to berate us publicly, as if we had committed an offense, humiliating us in front of both the staff and other patrons, which is exceedingly rude and unprofessional. If you are considering visiting this restaurant, proceed with caution, as the owner (an Asian man) may treat you poorly; we were not the only ones to experience this, and regrettably, we will not be the last. We will not return nor recommend this...
Read moreB Stake had potential to be good Brazilian Food but it does not live up to it. The meats were good, but less than half of the sides were even Brazilian. The stroganoff and beans lacked flavor and the rice was undercooked, hard, and flavorless. A less than filling portion with 3 pieces of meat each cost myself and my wife $50. A price pretty steep for bland food.
Some positives: Great potential Good Pão de Queijo (cheesebread) Garlic Steak had strong garlic flavor
Negatives: Owner cuts piece of meat for you before you answer how done you’d like it (my piece was dark red rare) Owner exclaimed to employees that he does not care about reviews (in front of customers) Owner and employees do not wear gloves and actively go from multiple tasks to putting salt on the raw meat and going back to touching the serving spoons and other items. I never saw the employees wash their hands. Quite expensive for what it is
I hope the owner can recognize that reviews are feedback that should be and need to be addressed. The food safety concerns discourage me from returning. If the owner can introduce more Brazilian foods and better flavors at the same or reduced price, the restaurant has...
