I arrived around nine pm on 03/19/24 Taco Tuesday. I was very aggressively asked for my Id at the door. Then I was given no direction as to where the entry door was. He just walked away. I entered the patio door around the corner and came to a circular desk which no one was Manning. I stood in the foyer for a minute or so and noticed some empty seats and went to take a seat. And as happened another time before at Mariposa, I was asked by the Hostess(???) to get up from that table because it's reserved for somebody else not me. The young girl wearing a black T-shirt told me that I would have 2 people in front of me. There was no one in the lobby when I came in. But now 2 people are sitting on the benches. She said that they would be before me and as I stepped to her desk, she said " Oh no, now it's gonna be 3 people ahead of you because 2 people had stepped up to the circular desk and were checking in. She knew that I was there before them, but she said they were 3RD in line and I would have to wait behind them. They seated me at a table in the back of the entertainment room next to an empty huge booth. A male waiter came over to take my order. 45 Minutes later, a busboy (?) in a tan T-shirt asked me if I was okay and went to check on my order. 55 minutes after I ordered. I got a plate of iceberg lettuce with generic cruton's and what looks like. ranch dressing dribbled over the top of it, which is not how the Caesar salad is portrayed on the menu. I asked the man in the tan shirt when he came back again if I could get some parmesan cheese. He went to the kitchen returning saying there was no parmesan cheese. Finally, the 1st waiter showed up 35 minutes after that and I told him that I did not get a Caesar salad. He said that he did not know that there was no Parmesan cheese for the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad did not have parmesan or the lettuce which it's usually made with and there was no Ceasar dressing tossed with it. Anyway, I took my check and gave him $5 tip for the service I was neglected of. Area where I parked had stairs blocked in front of it and after walking past the entrance to the ramp that's when I came upon the security guard (who was there then he wasn't). This was an evening that would have been more enjoyable for me at home. I have a lot of guests that come into town. I look for a place to take them and I thought this was a viable place. Besides, your people problem, I believe you would do better to improve your sound system especially for karaoke. This is a very honest critique.I hope that someone there gives a...
Read moreI visited this place as I was looking for a brunch spot in LV. They have limited seating for solo guests.. even if you have a reservation. There are 5 available seats at the bar, that’s it! Then 3 small tables that will accommodate solo diners in the back. I was eventually seated but it took a little while after me inquiring a few times. So please go with someone or be prepared to wait or not get seated. I recommend reservations as a few couples left before being seated. The food was decent, catfish definitely needed to be two full pieces and not 1 piece and half a piece. It also needed a tad bit more seasoning. There was nothing special about the grits either. The fried chicken was fire!!! My waitress was nice and professional. The DJ and the party host was a whole vibe and likely why this place gets great business. The host had good energy and just overall dope! She was amazing !The drinks were okay, not terrible but not great. This is an area of improvement for sure. I went to the bar to order a drink that had tequila, soda water, lime juice. The lady bartender did not know how to make the drink so she asked the gentleman. He makes it brings it to me. I asked what Tequila was used, he says house. I usually get Don but since I was never asked was going to suck it up and drink it, one taste, and it was way too much lime. I tell the lady that it had too much lime. She says well you got to tell us exactly how you want it. Well mam had you asked me before walking away I could have explained how to make a ranch water. I order this drink every where and the first question most bar tenders ask is what Tequila do you want? Both bartenders were rude and had bad energy. Neither he nor she were friendly. My advice to the owners is get some happier and more skilled bartenders. It will surely improve your business. Good energy is magnetic but bad energy does not go away!!! Bottomless mimosas a plus! Overall I would give the place a 3.8 maybe even a 4… because of the bartenders and food they get a 3. Finally, security was very friendly and even pat you down and checked your bag before going inside. I felt pretty safe and had a good time in spite of the interaction at the bar. The Location was not too far...
Read moreI’m a big supporter of black-owned businesses, but my first experience at this place was disappointing. My friends and I went last night to watch a fight for $40, which included a “buffet.”
Once arriving, we were quickly seated at a nice table in the main room by a hostess. However, a minute later, other guests arrived and claimed we were at their table. So, they moved us to a back room in the corner, right next to a loudspeaker and uncomfortable chairs with wobbly legs. The hostess didn’t offer any apology for the inconvenience.
The table was supposed to be for four, but it was only set for two people. I asked for napkins but that was never brought to us. Consequently, we ended up sharing napkins and eating with our hands.
Once seated, we waited for the fried food buffet, which offered four options. Everyone had to carry 2 plates because they were appetizer plates. Food was replenished every so often. People stood in line waiting for food bc at times there was nothing there. I believe they might have been overwhelmed with the number of guests. The staff seemed understaffed for such a large event.
We ordered a hookah from our server, but she had no idea what it was or what the flavors were. So, we simply ordered whatever. Not knowing what it was. She and everyone working there had the worst attitudes. Instead of smiling and being welcome.
When the hookah arrived, another lady came back and informed us that it was $54. I was taken aback because she hadn’t mentioned a price before. At a Mediterranean hookah lounge, hookah is usually priced at around $25-30 whether there is an event or not. Therefore, this was an extremely overpriced item.
To make matters worse, the hookah itself was not good. The person who prepared it seemed clueless about what they were doing. They also refused to provide more coals, so the hookah lasted only about 30 minutes because it wasn’t properly prepared.
Everything about the experience was disappointing. The DJ was playing music during the fight, so we couldn’t even hear the TVs. The service was terrible.
I won’t be returning to this place. The only saving grace was the shrimp. I was only able to have 3. For the price and what we experienced, we...
