I think most people can probably specify one or two food genres that they can eat the majority of the time without getting tired of it - for me, Indian cuisine seems to be one of those go-to choices lately. I wanted to try a new Indian restaurant on 28 Feb 2025, so my wife and I did a search online and opted for Mint Indian Bistro. We made a reservation but realized that we didn't need it when we arrived because there was ample seating in the restaurant - though it's still good practice to make reservations in Las Vegas.
I quickly noticed how modern the décor was which added to the pleasant experience. The dining area was of significant size and didn't feel as though the tables were placed too close to each other. This restaurant seemed to be very popular for to-go options because I kept seeing customers/delivery drivers constantly go in and out of the facility which is a good sign for this business.
We ordered the Flying Horse beer and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for our drinks; Samosa Chaat with Yogurt, Papdi Chaat, and Famous Chicken Tandoori for our appetizers; Andhra Chicken Curry, Andhra Lamb Curry, and Chili Garlic Naan without butter for our main and side entrées. First and foremost, I don't know if the Chicken Tandoori is actually famous or not (based on their claim), but I assure you that it is the best Chicken Tandoori I've ever experienced of all the Indian restaurants I've been to. Both "Chaat" dishes were good, but the Samosa Chaat with Yogurt was better out of the two. I think it's due to the fact that the Papdi Chaat was served intentionally cold - I was expecting it to be a warm/hot dish. Regardless, the flavors for both dishes were remarkable. Both Andhra Curry dishes were cooked to perfection; the meats were tender and the flavors were exquisite. I was a little bummed that those entrées weren't served in those traditional dishes you see at other Indian restaurants, but that didn't ruin my evening either. Plus, the dishes match the modern feel of this restaurant, so all is good. The Naan was wonderful; I appreciated this restaurant for customizing it for us because it is normally served with butter on the Naan, but I was "trying" to be a little health conscious. Their heat scale is a little different; they use the 1-5 heat scale index, versus the 1-10 at other businesses. Although not a showstopper, I wanted to let people know that for expectation management. Their food seemed to be served a little more spicier than others...even at spice level 2. And yes, that's coming from a person with a decent spice tolerance. I guess this is expected considering they advertise an "Inferno Menu."
The service was magnificent. We experienced a combined effort between Raju and Durga, which both were highly attentive, professional, and operated very efficiently. Although Raju seemed to be our primary server, I didn't want to exclude any supporting staff members that made the evening nice. Also, not to be left off this list, Yusimi was very friendly and extremely helpful in removing our old dishes from the table. I've been to restaurants before where the folks cleaning weren't as personable which could negatively affect the experience, but this was not the case with her. Additionally, I don't want to discredit the folks working in the kitchen because the food was marvelous...but I only caught the names we were exposed to while dining here. Needless to say, Raju, Durga, and Yusimi were a perfect trio to the front end operations.
The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable. I did notice the prices being slightly higher than other Indian restaurants but considering the restaurant's nice décor and ambiance, coupled with their food and service, it definitely hits the mark. I especially respect this business for their support to the men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that! Overall, I had a great time here and only wish this restaurant was closer to the far Northwest part of the city. I highly recommend this restaurant...
Read moreA Difficult review to write for countless reasons because the FOOD WAS TRULY TASTY.... BUT.... The location itself was tricky to locate despite the fairly accurate navigation prompts. Indian Curry dishes & thier side-serves are easily my most favorite cuisine, however my family doesn't share my fondness, so when I do get to eat Curry, like today, Mother's Day, I make sure to do my research so I'm confident that my choice will be outstanding. After MUCH THOUGHT, i still have to say that this dining experience was an overall FAIL. It is an unfortunate fact that my experience when Dining at Indian Restaurants (easily 75%) that the service is exceptionally slow & often impersonal, no matter where I choose to dine and this place certainly didn't fail to contradict that statistic. My family and I had a reservation for which we were 15 minutes late because as I stated earlier it was difficult to find despite GPS assistance. We were addressed and seated quickly. We were then given tepid water clearly FRESH FROM THE TAP but deceptively bottled in personalized bottles. I would truly love to report at this time that after the water was served the dining experience made a turn for the better but it was quite the contrary. "B.R.", was, (according to our receipt) the name of our server. Although if the receipt had not provided that information I would not be able to include that in this review as he barely said a total of 10 words to us the entire visit. Upon first glance, The prices stated in the attractive menu, one might believe the prices are not only fair but....ECONOMICAL!? That is incredibly deceptive. One of the things I enjoy most when dining at Asian, Indian and many Italian restaurants is the Family Style Dining. "BR" (who's demeanor suggested ) was apparently forced unwillingly served both our daughter's "childrens meals" together in one basket with no individual plates & without having bothered to serve the PLAIN naan bread that we ordered ala cart as an appetizer when it became apparent that it would not be served as a complimentary item and after 45 minutes of having been seated at the restaurant we were finally served OUR meal. My husband and I ate while our two daughters graciously waited for us to finish. to go on and on with the many things that I found unpleasant about my visit to this restaurant. The ala cart prices 4 EVERY item you could think of including but not limited to; plain white basmati rice, mango chutney ,naan bread.... I would not, do not, and will not recommend this restaurant to any of my family or friends and will not be...
Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Mint Indian Bistro in Las Vegas! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting aroma of authentic Indian spices set the stage for a memorable meal.
I ordered the Chicken Tandoori, Chilly Chicken, and Goat Biryani—each dish was outstanding in its own way.
The Chicken Tandoori arrived sizzling on a hot platter, beautifully charred yet incredibly juicy. The marinade had the perfect balance of tangy yogurt and bold spices, making each bite flavorful and tender.
The Chilly Chicken was a delightful mix of crispy, spicy, and slightly tangy flavors. The chicken was fried to perfection, coated in a delicious sauce with just the right amount of heat. It had that perfect Indo-Chinese touch that I absolutely loved!
The Goat Biryani was the highlight of the meal. The rice was aromatic, fluffy, and packed with layers of spice, while the goat meat was cooked to perfection—tender and infused with rich flavors. Every bite had the perfect balance of heat and savoriness, making it an absolute must-try for biryani lovers.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring that everything was served hot and fresh.
Overall, Mint Indian Bistro is a gem in Las Vegas for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. The flavors, presentation, and service exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!...
