Shawarma Vegas has the best shawarma Ive ever had! Having sampled lots of shawarma both in Canada and the US, I can confidently attest that the kosher ingredients used here are exceptionally fresh, Israeli culinary experience. The secret lies in the masterful blend of herbs and spices.
I ordered the Hummus Shawarma plate, with warm, fluffy pita bread. The hummus, smooth as silk, boasted a rich and velvety texture that was nothing short of extraordinary. Its flavor profile was a delightful combination of creamy and savory, providing the perfect accompaniment to the star of the show – the shawarma.
The shawarma itself was a masterpiece, a testament to the art of spice blending. Each bite was a burst of flavor, with tender, succulent turkey meat that practically melted in my mouth. The spices used were a harmonious medley, creating a depth of taste that left a lasting impression.
I couldn't resist sharing it with my parents when they came to visit Vegas. Watching their faces light up as they savored each bite reaffirmed my belief in the exceptional quality of this place.
We also ordered the kebab and rice plate. This dish was a testament to the chef's skill, as the kebabs were grilled to absolute perfection. The result was a medley of succulent, expertly cooked meats that tantalized our taste buds. The flavors were delicious, leaving us with a profound appreciation for the Israeli culinary craftsmanship at Shawarma Vegas.
Guy, the proprietor of Shawarma Vegas, extended a warm and welcoming hospitality that truly enhanced our dining experience. His friendliness and accommodating nature added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel like...
Read moreWhen I walked into this place (the market portion) it seemed okay the woman greated me, and I started looking through the aisle, it was my first time going to this market so I was looking over the place, this is when the woman sprang up from behind the counter and started, I thought she was coming to help someone, it’s a small place, however she went down the lane I was in as if to see what I was doing didn’t ask if I needed help, then made a u turn down the next aisle past the customer I thought she was going to help, she said to him, is everything okay in Hebrew, and then went back behind the counter, she kept looking at me like she was checking what was in my hand. I stood in line and as I mentioned the store is small so it felt strange, the customers also a kept looking back at me like i was going to do anything other than stand in line. I Got up to the counter and she started ring up my items, I asked her do they have any Seder plates, she ask me what did you say? I repeated it slowly and she just said she doesn’t know what I’m talking about as if she required me to say קערה. I understand Hebrew but don’t speak so well. I am also not European Israeli. I am visually Ethiopian looking and am mixed race. I’m writing this review because I wish something like this would have warned me, I try to avoid discrimination, uncomfortable situation and patronizing racist. Not to say the least the food...
Read moreI roam around Vegas looking for foods I crave. Tonight it was falafel. I've had falafel in many of the Greek restaurants in Vegas and they're all passable but not great. However, tonight, I found a very tasty falafel at Shawarma Vegas. I can make a good falafel at home as well but always looking for someone else to make them. When you bite into a good falafel, it's crisp/nutty on the surface and the inside is GREEN, not brown, orange, or muddy colored. It's green because it has cilantro and parlsey... and most places seem to have a lot of other fillers outside of chickpeas, and taste like flour. Here at Shawarma Vegas, it's GREEN, and tender, and nutty on the surface exactly the way I like it. The pita sandwich is full with all the toppings you request. This place reminded me of a place in SF Mission area (I forget the name). Come to Shawarma Vegas if you want a real falafel sandwich. You can get in a pita, or lavosh, and even on a baguette. I had the pita. It was served with a side of tahini sauce and fries. My fries were stale but they immediately replaced them with hot ones. I like my falafel really spicy so I had them give me extra spice. (Although, I think I would prefer a red spicy tahini, but that's just me.) The service was friendly, but a little slow. It's a cozy shop. I'd definitely go back the next time I need a...
