So, my experience really started yesterday when I ordered three two-counts of rolled chicken tacos, and they forgot one in my bag. I noticed when I got home, so I just called and talked to a guy named Arron—I believe he was Hispanic with a ponytail—and asked them if they could write my name down. He was super nice and said, 'Yes, no problem.'
So, I come back the next day around 8 pm-ish and go through the drive-thru. I explain I'm back to get my tacos. He says, and I quote, 'Oh yeah, I think I remember you.' There's a little pause on the mic before he asks for my name. I tell him my name and ask if I could also order two more orders of the rolled tacos. He says, 'Come to the window,' so I go up and am met with what I can only describe as the rudest woman I have ever met. Her name was Claudia, and she was the manager, apparently, basically saying my name's not in the book, so I need a receipt because there's no way to know if it's true.
I said, 'Your employee who took my order remembers me.' She says, 'He didn't even work last night.' I said, 'Then how did he remember me?' After going back and forth with this woman, I just give up and say, 'Well, can I just pay for my other tacos?' She says, 'I don't have your order.' I explain I just ordered. She says, 'Well, I don't have it.' I say, 'Can you place my order?' She says, 'No, go back around.' Keep in mind there are about six cars behind me. I say, 'So I'm going to have to wait behind six people because you didn't put my order in?' She says, 'Yes.' So I reluctantly go back around and get my food.
This time, I ask her if showing her a picture of my receipt will work. She says, 'Yes.' So I text my girlfriend to send me the picture. I show it to Claudia, and she says, 'Now I need a physical copy.' So I go back home and come back, and she still has an attitude. Finally, she gives me my food without any sort of apology or sympathy for the massive inconvenience. This was all over one...

The service was fast and smooth. I was visibly disappointed when I saw the smaller-than-expected size of the medium blended flavor ice drink.
As I asked her, with my disappointed face, "oh man.. THIS is what a medium looks like?" She says: "Don't worry about that. I got you!" and without missing a beat she is on top of it and in seconds hands me a large and says, "I got you! Have a blessed night!"
I actually felt guilty that I didn't have any cash on me to tip her! Because I certainly would have! Now THAT'S what customer service looks like!
Of course the tacos are always great and the burritos are easy to eat while driving home.
Oftentimes, a typical ordinary customer experience, at 2AM, when things slow down and no one else is around, or paying attention, can be an opportunity to create an "EXTRA-ORDINARY" encounter with a simple act of kindness or, in this case, a small gesture of appreciation from a front-line employee.
I look forward to coming back when we're in that area of town next month. I'll also be prepared next time with some cash for a tip. She definitely earned...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would I’m sick and tired of every time I go in there the manager with her rude unprofessional self will hand you old food then get mad when you ask her to remake it and tell you it is their policy to not drop new food which I know for a fact to be false as I have been a manager at Taco Bell for a couple years … so not only is she disgusting she is a liar.. go figure but to make matters worse she will stand at the line area and argue with you and then continue to be condescending towards you as you are simply voicing your opinions … she even had the nerve to tell em since I always have a problem maybe I should go somewhere else… NO MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP SERVING OLD FOOD… It’s ok I will be calling the health department to let them know about this specific Taco Bell’s unhygienic and irresponsible way of food handling. Oh and don’t get me started on the fact of her talking crap about me not knowing I understood every word… lol maybe you shouldn’t talk about people in Spanish especially customers if you don’t know if they understand you … Completely pathetic...
