Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Texas

Swung through the drive thru here today to try out something new. This location has only recently opened, and I was excited to see what they have to offer.

I ordered a club chicken sandwich, fries, Mac 'n cheese, and a coke. The sides were ok. The fries were plain fries that had a very middle of the road flavor. There is nothing about them that stands out, but at the same time nothing that should offend either.

The club chicken sandwich was definitely a win. The chicken breast had a nice breading on it which gave it a noticeable crunch and salty flavor. The veggies though were what really propelled this sandwich. The tomato was thick and fresh, had big flavor

The bacon on the sandwich was yummy. And there was enough slices to be noticeable. The sauce they used is different from other chicken sandwiches you find out there right now. Was a nice change of pace.

The small Mac 'n cheese I ordered was very standard. Nothing about it stood out, but again nothing about it was offensive. The sandwich was solid, their sides are bland. But all in all, I was satisfied. Not blown away, but satisfied.

One thing I really like is they give you a nice plastic cup that you can reuse if you want. I remember these being common when I was a kid in the 90's. Real cool throwback to my childhood.

Also, it's nice that they give you a sanitizer wipe to clean up your hands after eating. Would be nice if more companies would do that. I know I get sauce on my hands when I eat and drive. And often am left with sticky hands on my steering wheel. Don't have that issue here.

I'll probably go back in a couple weeks to try...

I placed an order on the mobile app. It said my order would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived to pick up my order at the time stated. I had to wait an additional 40 minutes to get my food. 50 minutes for some fast food chicken that came out cold is not acceptable. That place was pure chaos. They didn't have ice, all the flavors of the iced tea were empty. There wasn't any lemonade. The entire restaurant was absolutely filthy. The staff didn't seem to care. Dashya was the only person attempting to work. The young man with the twists is ridiculously incompetent. He stood there and got in the way of Dashya trying to work. He could have been out cleaning the dining room or making more iced tea. When I finally got my food, it was cold. I had ordered mac n cheese and it was missing. I told him ordered mac n cheese and he said, that's not what it said on the order. I showed him my order where it clearly said Mac n cheese. I also didn't receive any sauces. I had to ask several times and received an attitude. I didn't even bother to get a drink because the drink station was so disgustingly dirty. This place was grossly dysfunctional. Please do not waste...

Well this was my first time ever buying food from this Slim Chicken When I walked in I was greeted that was fine then I ordered the six piece of chicken which comes with three strips and three wings and fries bread and a drink which for that was like $15.49 so I get home and set up my food to eat it. The chicken tenders were fine too small. The fries were good. The chicken wings were awful. You know when you cook chicken one day and then you eat it the next day it doesn’t taste the same so these three pieces of chicken tasted like from the day before, and you can tell they were all dry. And the Taste was not of a fresh piece of chicken They gave me two little wings and one little Drumette. The Drumette was not even the whole Drumette. It was all dry and nasty. Even the taste was awful. I will never go back there again!!!! I would like my Money Back Please…. Very Bad...
