Mandarin Bistro — Restaurant in Springdale

We tried this restaurant because they got a 4.4 good rating. Idk how that could possibly be. We(there was 3 of us)were the only ones in the restaurant at 5:30. And no one came in the entire time we were there. Place was clean but the food was AWFUL! Hot and sour soup was the best thing I had at this restaurant but it was VERY spicy, and I like spicy food. Our fresh spring rolls had a tiny bit of chicken and EGG. Never had egg in a fresh spring roll EVER! When we saw they had egg in them and informed the owner that we couldn’t eat those bc my husband is allergic to eggs. She merely said ok and then walked away. The pepper steak had the most “chewy” beef I have ever tasted. Plus there was maybe 6 small slices of beef and an abundance of peppers and onions. They should change the name to “onions and peppers with a few slices of beef”. We also had Honey sesame chicken. The entire entree had maybe 12 chunks of chicken and the overall taste was just ok. The bill was over $37.00, we had 3 soups, fresh spring rolls, pepper steak and Honey sesame chicken. Seems like a High price for very little food that didn’t taste very good. Food used to be better. Atmosphere is due for a makeover. It’s just absolutely dirty in there. Service absolutely horrible as far as I’m concerned. I stopped in today and placed a togo order. While I was waiting, I asked the cashier if I could get a glass of water while I wait and he said that’ll be one dollar. I looked at him and I said a dollar for a glass of water while I’m waiting on my food. I had already used my card. I told him never-mind. I can’t believe in America that places like this exist where they try and gouge you for everything! 24 bottles of water from walmart cost $3. That’s 15 cents per bottle. I know… i give out free water to employees and guests! I hope the manager reads this because that .15 cent bottle just cost them a repeat customer that...

I am being generous giving that star. We went there to eat on the 11th July 2020. I ordered the Honey sesame chicken and it had at least a cup of white corn syrup on it and my plate There was no honey to it. I love sweets but I took 3 bites and it was so sweet I had to stop eating or vomit. My son in law ordered beef rice and the beef was mostly fat. Also not able to eat it. The dogs like his but not mine. We spent 90$ and when asked by the woman I believe was the owner if everything was alright and I told her no she said nothing. We also got stuck with her as a waitress but she was to busy on her computer to wait on us. I always eave a tip but...
