Wild Ginger — Restaurant in Springettsbury Township

So this is my second review on this place. They get one star again. Now i order the sushi from here quite often (once a week or more). Last Wednesday i ordered sushi, i called in 20min before hand because I'm aware this is one of there busy days and i only have a short break for lunch. It took them an Hour for Three very simple rolls. I had to leave and go back to pick up my warm sushi that was soggy. TODAY i called in an order for sushi and has i was walking out of the door i noticed i lost my card (I had it this morning i dont know where it went). So i did the respectful thing and i canceled the order (which i never do). The lady hung up on me. I called back and a guy answered. I told him i lost my card which i had this morning and that i never cancel my order, he went on to twll me that the lady i talked to before (the one that hung up on me) thought i was joking. When is a customer ever to be taken has a joke? I also told him last time i ordered sushi i waited an hour and that I order from there once a week and i Never canceled an order before. He argued with me! Completely disregarded what i said and went in to tell me that people cancel all the time... now I've worked in the food industry for 6 years i know how it feels but never once in those six years have i ever felt compelled to single out one customer based on others. Especially Not A Regular. You just don't do that. So with that being said I dont recommend this place. EVERYTIME I ORDER IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOME PROBLEM. Try the chinese and sushi at Giant's. My husband and I stopped in for a late dinner, less than an hour before closing, since our usual restaurant in the area had already closed. There were a few people picking up to-go orders, but no one dining inside, so we weren't sure if they would let us dine in. They did!

The menus are nothing fancy, but there's a ton of options and something for everyone (sushi, rice bowls, bento boxes, appetizers, noodle bowls, etc.). We had a hard time choosing, but got the crab rangoons, a California roll, the Godzilla roll, a shrimp tempura roll, the Ichiban roll, and the tempura kani roll. We also got a large shrimp lo mein.

The shrimp lo mein was FULL of shrimp and was a HUGE portion for only around $10. That is a steal in this economy. The crab rangoons were good, with a thick sweet and sour sauce to go with them. All of the sushi was so fresh, made to order, and came BEAUTIFULLY plated. We were blown away. The plates had decorations with little vases and dry ice, in addition to botanical items. All of the rolls were incredible. The basic rolls are so reasonably priced, and the Ichiban roll was worth the splurge. That was our favorite one!

Service was 10/10 - someone was always checking in on us, refilling our drinks, and making sure we enjoyed the food. We let them know how good the food was and were so shocked when they brought us a dessert on the house. We live 30 minutes away but already are planning a trip back!! My husband, our 16-month-old daughter, and I dined here tonight as we were heading home on a road trip. We were pleased to have stumbled across the best Asian restaurant we have ever had the pleasure of dining at. The food was amazing in taste and presentation for an extremely fair price. The portions were generous and worth every penny. To start we each had shrimp don yum soup, shrimp egg rolls, and shared the spicy tuna roll. Everything was wonderful, but the spicy tuna roll was notable in that it was the best one we had ever had. It was such a carefully balanced filling—not too wet, not too dry, not too spicy. Literally perfect. For the main course, I had the best Thai shrimp green curry ever. My husband greatly enjoyed his shrimp pad thai. My daughter devoured the shrimp fried rice. For dessert, we shared some very yummy green tea ice cream. Service was wonderful and prompt. The staff were so kind, wonderful, and understanding. My daughter dropped her sippy cup and the woman at the counter helped us by picking it up before I could even stand. She insisted that we leave the wake of our toddler’s meal.
