I was in town visiting family and friends and excited about being to celebrate my grandmothers's 83rd birthday with her. She insisted on going to a Ninety Restaurant for her birthday dinner. Initially, I called another one of their locations and they were not very help or accommodating. As a matter of fact, I was told that a manager said to leave my number and she will call me back. I never got a call back to tell me anything. However, I called the Liberty Street location and spoke with manager Katie. She was so pleasant to speak with, very professional , and immediately was willing to accommodate my party of 25. By the day of the dinner, we had to increase our party to 31 people and still Katie was able to make it happen.
We arrived to the restaurant on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. As I mentioned, there was 31 of us. The staff were all very welcoming. I have been to restaurants that could not serve a party of 4 in a timely manner but our servers for this dinner party was on point. Talk about teamwork. Not only did our servers, just two of them work hard, but Katie the manager was also stepping in to help her staff. I find that impressive because some managers would not have been willing to help serve the tables.
Our food was good, it came out in a timely manner, and it was hot. I hate getting cold food. I am not sure what everyone else had but i had the dried salmon with mash potatoes and broccoli. I also had the seafood stuffies and it was delicious. My son later told me he enjoyed his spicy chicken sandwich. I also can tell you the seafood chowder was very good. Just like clam chowder but no clams.
Not only did our servers do a great job at getting the food out to us quickly, they still made time to check in with everyone and see how everything was, if we needed anything or if they could assist further with something. I was just so impressed and shocked at how well they took care of our party of 31 people.
SHOUT OUT TO OUR SERVERS STEPHEN AND ETTA!! PLEASE PLEASE GIVE THEM A BIG THANK YOU FOR ME AGAIN. I APPRECIATE SUCH SERVICE WHEN I CHOSE TO EAT A RESTAURANT. MY VISIT WAS MEMORABLE AND MY GRANDMOTHER SAID SHE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME.
P.S. PLEASE FORGIVE SOME OF MY LOUD RELATIVES WHO FORGET SOMETIMES THEY ARE IN A RESTAURANT....JUST KIDDING.
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME. i LIVE IN ATLANTA NOW BUT I WILL BE SURE TO VISIT THE NINETY RESTAURANT ON LIBERTY STREET WHENEVER I COME HOME TO VISIT.
GOD...
Read moreWe had Easter day reservations here for 3pm. I was going to get the prime rib and had been thinking about it for days prior. When we ordered I was told they were out of prime rib.
What?!? It was only 3pm and it was on the Easter menu! Talk about poor menu planning. I decided on the New York sirloin and lobster casserole instead, which was also on the Easter menu.
When our meals came the sirloin looked like something I would get at Golden Corral (no offense Golden Corral, but I was ordering from a more upscale restaurant than that...or so I thought anyway) and it had no flavor whatsoever.
The lobster casserole was so overcooked that the claw ends of the lobster were like kettle cooked potato chips and the thicker part of the claw meat was very dry. The broccoli I ordered with it was good though.
There weren't even many people when we were there, yet our waiter kept forgetting things. He seemed a little flustered, but we still gave a 20% tip.
If it wasn't for the meals ordered by the rest of the people in our party being okay I would have given a 1 star review. Sadly, I wish we had gone to Texas...
Read moreThis has got to be the worst 99 restaurant. I called ahead to place an order for car side delivery...waited in my car for half an hour. I watched cars pull in after me and leave before me. After having to go inside to pick up my order, waiting another 15 minutes to get taken care of, I get my order and leave. Our food that was supposed to be hot was cold, the cold stuff was warm, and I was missing a french onion soup that I paid for but was never put in the bag. Tried to call and waited on hold for 50 minutes with no one answering the phone. We will NOT be spending any more time or money at this restaurant!!!!!! I can understand being busy, but either hire more help or tell people in advance that you are slammed and they would be better to go inside and pick up. I am one VERY UNHAPPY...
