Jolly Tamale — Restaurant in Springfield

While I enjoy the food here, I was not at all pleased with my service today. Granted, the drive thru was very busy. But I felt rushed when it was my turn to order. I was asked what I wanted, and as I was not yet ready since I had just pulled up to the speaker, I requested if I could have a moment so that I could look at the menu. The drive thru person then said something to the effect of, "well the line is long so we're going to have to start something for you". I again expressed to her that I was not yet ready and that I needed a minute. Nothing was said back. I took a couple seconds, put in my order and went on about my day. This might not sound significant to some, but to me it is. Because regardless of how busy one is, great customer service is still expected. And I did not feel that 100%. Been going here since they opened & IT BREAKS MY HEART BUT I HAVE TO SAY MY TRUTH... AFTER GETTING THE WRONG FOOD. RETURNING & BASICALLY BEING TOLD I WAS LYING ABOUT WHAT I ORDERED AND TREATED HORRIBLY BY THE STAFF. I MADE A YELP REVIEW EXPRESSING HOW BADLY I WAS TREATED BY STAFF AND HOW DISAPPOINTED I WAS AS I LITERALLY HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE THE CURRENT OWNERS MOM THAT HAS SINCE PASSED ON, OPENED UP HER BUSINESS! I PATRONIZED ALL THROUGH SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL AS WELL AS MY ADULT LIFE! i LOVED JOLLY TAMALE THEN BECAUSE OF THE HORRIBLE WAY A STAFF TREATED ME & I HAD THE AUDACITY TO WRITE A REVIEW THEY PUT ME ON THEIR "DO NOT SERVE" LIST! I like taco Gring which is a store so similar I thought they were owned by the same people because the menu was similar.

Ordered two things, a tenderloin sandwich and a chalupa.

Chalupa looked and tasted pretty subpar, squashed down prior to the sauce being put on it, taco bell quality meat, that tasted like it had been mixed into the refried beans.

No salad to speak of, and looked like someone had tried to decorate a cow patty to look like a target.

I also like tenderloin sandwich but.. obviously a chain purchase, deep fried so long as to have consistency and tastes of a breaded pizza crust.

If you have no taste or are an alcoholic I can see the appeal, but I wouldn't deliberately eat from here sober.
