Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Springfield

Doordasher here arrived 3:23pm today Monday 10/16/23 Lobby door was locked went to car and called store and they didn't answer it. Car next to me got out and tried lobby door then went back to their car. Then an elderly couple walked out from the lobby door I tried to open just 30 seconds ago and a staff was looking at me thru the window blinds side window so I got back out of car and sure enough lobby door was locked again. Called dash support and they called and got them to answer and put them on a 3 way call. The lady said I could pick up the dash order thru the drive thru and I said I don't wait in drive thru lines then she said the line is empty and I said open up the lobby and she didn't say another word so I asked dash support to unassign this for me but she said I could do it but would be penalty. I explained im doing as instructions say to enter lobby to pick up order and I don't work late hours when lobbies are closed so support said I could say store was closed which I did. I left a voicemail with corporate and now leaving this so maybe the general manager might figure out a way to keep their lobby opened. Biggest thing is they let out a couple that were likely dining inside so to me they must have just decided to close lobby at that...

This is a nice new building with no air conditioning. I had order on DoorDash, my whole order was wrong. I took the order and receipt back to the store. I had to ask for the manager before anyone came to the counter after waiting about 5 minutes to get their attention. They had 3 employees when I went in. The paramedics came in for 1 of the employees and was told he had a heat stroke. Then they were down to 2 employees and ignoring the customers at the counter. There were at least 3 more customers returning because they had received to wrong orders. Then we had to wait for over an hour to get our food. The employee that was filling the orders had a good attitude and when I asked about our order again he started on it right away. The manager was going around everyone that had been waiting to get their food replaced. The manager was dealing with new orders after we had given our receipt instead we waited 45 mins for the other employee to work on it. This location wanted to charge me $9.59 for the sandwich I had a free coupon for. I know I had to purchase a drink and fries in order to get the free sandwich but the cashier charged me $9.59. She claimed that the fries I had to purchase cost $1.99 and the drink cost $1.59. I pointed out that the fries were only $1.49 according to the posted menu. She rang up my order again and insisted that my total for my free sandwich was $9.59. I got disgusted and frustrated so I left. You just lost my business and that of my extended family and friends. Perhaps the managers of this location need to train their employees basic math, Also inform them that a free sandwich should not cost $9.59. Maybe it is this location's way of covering the costs of the free sandwich promotion. Maybe the cashier was short and was trying to make up for it by overcharging. I don't know or care which.
