Building Block Play Studio — Local services in Springfield

I really like this place but I don’t think I’ll be coming again without a guarantee that they are washing every single toy “well that’s extreme” but is it though? A bunch of kids playing with toys everyday that is quite literally the job respectfully I state that of course I know for a fact I wash my kids toys once a week wipe em down do a little reset. Everytime I have ever taken my son here he ends up so extremely sick I take the best precautions I possibly can I wash his hands and use sanitizer before and after I change his clothes etc and a bath right away and everytime he ends up so so sick. They have such a wide selection of toys and activity’s but realistically just picking up the toys just isn’t enough to make it all clean each toy needs cleaned especially when super young kids come because once again it’s a great place for ALL ages I just don’t think they’re taking the precautions they need to; and it isn’t just me anytime I go I have a mom friend their child gets so so sick aswell. I just hope they can figure this all out before winter, Parks will be closed mommas need somewhere to take the littles to get their energy out again perfect place but I unfortunately think I’m gonna stay away until I get the clarity I need to come back and know it’s being taken care of and more serious once again winters coming up there’s gonna be so much going around just doesn’t seem like a risk I’m unfortunately willing to take. Maybe an idea to avoid sick children is ask at the door any cough runny nose fever etc? We held our little guys first birthday at the play studio and were beyond thrilled with our experience! The space is wonderful! So much to do, large space and very very clean!! The party coordination was easy and provided everything we needed. We were able to bring our own food with no restrictions. We paid extra for the decorations and were so so happy with the result. Everything was on theme and was set up by the owner ahead of time. I brought a couple things but really didn't need to. They even helped blow up our decorations to save us time. There was plenty of space for food and gifts and seating for family who weren't actively playing with the kiddos. Really liked coming here, owner is friendly, clean, nice toys. I do notice some of the children aren't 100% sure what to do with the toys ... Having someone on staff to model the play would fit the Montessori style they are going for, so the toys can keep their purpose for the next child that comes along to play vs children coming thru and destroying the home living section and then walking away. Also the very limited hours kinda stink ... Or I would totally spend more money here, come more often OR purchase the membership they offer. My kiddos are usually bored and want out of the house come the afternoon time. Those are my only 2...
