HORRIBLE first time visit on 1/3/21. My husband and I are shopping around for a Fitness Center and decided to visit Springfield Health & Fitness. It's close to our residence and we wanted to check it out. We approached the front desk and the gentleman working greeted us with "hi", nothing additional. Shocked by his response and my FIRST IMPRESSION, I indicated we were interested in membership information, pricing, facility amenities, etc. He was extremely brief, and minimally informative. I asked ALL OF THE QUESTIONS! We were Never offered a tour, nothing, no brochure available as requested. He mentioned, "I think right now the 1st month is free"?? The only informative information he could provide were the facility's hours!! No thank you and we won't be joining. If your trying to gain memberships, a start would be at your front desk as that's always an outsiders FIRST...
Read moreThe gym is close to where I work in Springfield. That's a benefit but I joined because of all the equipment they have in the basement. I live in Columbus and have a gym membership near home but Springfield Health and Fitness is really like a few different gyms in one. They have tons of weight and equipment including multiple squat racks, multiple separate deadlift platforms, and powerlifting specific bars. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure where I misplaced my deadlifting belt but I didn't think I left it at the gym. Several days went by before I asked about it. One time, at a corporate chain gym, I had left a Strength Shop powerlifting belt unattended for 15 minutes and it was stolen. After several days, Springfield Health and Fitness still had the one that I had left there. That speaks a lot about the the members that go there as well as the...
Read moreI’ve been going to this gym for about two weeks and I absolutely love it. It’s very quiet, there’s never too many people in there and I can always find my machines. The cardio room is separate from the weight machines, and there’s never many people in the cardio room at once. There are also some free weights in the cardio room and a large open area for classes, but I enjoy stretching there. I like that the window area you see when driving by is the cardio room, people watching helps the cardio time go by quicker. There is also a separate area for the heavier lifting like deadlifts and power lifts. So you don’t have to worry about making noise or anything. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I never get bothered or anything. It’s a little more pricey than other gyms but well worth it, plus they have super fun classes that are included in the membership....
